Boycott Dunya TV

    We need start a campaign to encourage everyone to boycott Dunya TV.

    This way if any political group or party try to manipulate media can be made accountable!

    Don't know about him, but his uncle is in PTI, he himself was PML-Q part and tried to join PML-N, even had meetings with PPP, and now talking to PTI folks..

    Either channel openly declare itself as supporting a party - like FOX does in US, or change the management.

    well mubashar lucman has said quite clearly that he thinks Musharrafi hukoomat was 1000 times better than todays govt... and he very openly supports musharraf and criticizes politicians for hiding under "democracy" term.

    i think as media talk show hosts, they have rights to keep their opinions. they are humans after all. and they are doing proper talk shows... not "interviews" like larry king.

    if hamid mir hates musharraf, then so be it... if lucman likes musharraf, then so be it... it is for us viewers to decide who is saying right thing or wrong thing which would ultimately give them their TRP.

    This is a shameful act of the most incompetent government of Punjab in history. They are intimidating media person now with their pathetic tactics. PMLN is now registering a fake case against Mian Aamir Mehmood, Shame on them!!

    Now media is threatening to expose the incompetence of PMLN and Rana Sana ullah aissues a statement condemning an FIR against Mian Amir Mehmood.

    PMLN has gone bonkers now, watch out for another escape of Mian * Sharif to Jeddah soon.

    الحمرا کلچرل کمپلیکس میں ہونے والے میوزکل کنسرٹ کے موقع پر بھگدڑ میں تین طالبات ہلاک ہوگئی تھیں
    پنجاب پولیس نے لاہور میں میڈیا کے ایک بڑے ادارے کے چیف ایگزیکٹو میاں عامر محمود کے خلاف قتل کا مقدمہ درج کر کے اس پر مزید کارروائی روک دی۔

    تعزیرات پاکستان کی دفعہ تین سو دو کے تحت یہ مقدمہ گزشتہ مہینے اُن تین طالبات کی ہلاکت کے الزام میں درج کیا گیا جو الحمرا کلچرل کمپلیکس میں ہونے والے میوزکل کنسرٹ کے موقع پر بھگدڑ کا شکار ہوئی تھیں۔

    لاہور سے بی بی سی کے نامہ نگار علی سلمان کے مطابق مقدمہ کے مرکزی ملزم میاں عامر محمود اس کالج کے سربراہ ہیں جس نے اس میوزک کنسرٹ کا بندوبست کیا تھا۔ میاں عامر محمود پاکستان کے ایک ایسے ٹی وی چینل کے سربراہ بھی ہیں جس نے بہت کم عرصے میں میڈیا میں اپنی جگہ بنا لی ہے۔

    بدھ کی رات مقدمہ درج ہونے کے فوری بعد میاں عامر محمود کے ٹی وی چینل اور صحافتی حلقوں نے اس پر احتجاج کیا اور جمعرات کو ریلیاں نکالنے کی دھمکیاں دیں۔ ٹی وی چینل کے ملازم صحافیوں نے قتل کے اس مقدمے کو آزادی صحافت کے منافی قرار دیا اور کہا کہ پنجاب حکومت نے جان بوجھ کر میاں عامر محمود کو اپنی انتقامی کارروائی کا نشانہ بنایا ہے۔
    مقدمہ کے اندراج اور شدید احتجاج کے کچھ ہی دیر بعد پنجاب کے وزیر قانون رانا ثناءاللہ خان نے اپنے ایک بیان میں اس ایف آئی آر پر مزید کارروائی روک دی۔

    پنجاب کے وزیر قانون رانا ثنااللہ نے کہا کہ الحمرا کلچرل کمپلیکس میں کنسرٹ کے بعد ہونے والی بھگدڑ میں ہلاکتوں سے دنیا ٹی وی اور پنجاب گروپ آف کالجز کے سربراہ میاں عامر محمود اور دیگر افراد کے خلاف درج ہونے والی ایف آئی آر دفعہ تین سو دو کے تحت غیر قانونی ہے۔
    انہوں نے کہا کہ کنسرٹ میں ہونے ہلاکتوں پر پہلے سے ہی ایک ایف آئی آر درج ہے جس میں قتل خطا کی دفعہ تین سو بائیس عائد کی گئی ہے اور ان کے بقول ایک کیس کی دو ایف آئی آر درج نہیں ہو سکتیں۔

    غیر قانونی
    پنجاب کے وزیر قانون رانا ثنااللہ نے کہا کہ الحمرا کلچرل کمپلیکس میں کنسرٹ کے بعد ہونے والی بھگدڑ میں ہلاکتوں سے دنیا ٹی وی اور پنجاب گروپ آف کالجز کے سربراہ میاں عامر محمود اور دیگر افراد کے خلاف درج ہونے والی ایف آئی آر دفعہ تین سو دو کے تحت غیر قانونی ہے

    صوبائی وزیر قانون کا کہنا ہے کہ انہوں نے ڈی آئی جی میجر مبشر اللہ کو تحقیقات کا حکم دے دیا ہے جو پولیس کی اس نااہلی کے خلاف جلد اپنی رپورٹ پیش کریں گے۔

    ایف آئی آر میں میاں عامر محمود کے علاوہ پنجاب گروپ آف کالجز کے دیگر انتظامی افسروں ڈاکٹر سہیل افضل، طاہر آغا، میجر ریٹائرڈ سلیم اور ساٹھ دیگر نامعلوم افراد کو بھی نامزد کیا گیا ہے۔ یہ مقدمہ ہلاک ہونے والی ایک طالبہ کے والد محمد نواز وڑائچ کی درخواست پر درج کیا گیا۔

    محمد نواز وڑائچ نے موقف اختیار کیا کہ ان کی دو بیٹیاں فرح نواز اور زینب نواز پنجاب گروپ آف کالجز میں پڑھتی تھیں اور نو جنوری کو انہوں نے اپنی دونوں بیٹیوں کو الحمرا کلچرل کمپلیکس چھوڑا تا کہ وہ کالج انتظامیہ کی جانب سے منعقد ہونے والے کنسرٹ میں حصہ لے سکیں۔

    لیکن کالج انتظامیہ کی غفلت کے باعث تقریب کے اختتام پر بھگدڑ مچ جانے سے اُن کی دونوں بیٹیاں شدید زخمی ہو گئیں اور اس کے بعد ان کی بیٹی فرح نواز سروسز ہسپتال میں زخموں کی تاب نہ لاتے ہوئے ہلاک ہو گئی۔

    یاد رہے کہ میوزیکل کنسرٹ میں ہلاک ہونے والی طالبہ ماہین نسیم کے والد نسیم عباس پہلے ہی ایک پریس کانفرنس میں یہ کہ چکے ہیں کہ میاں عامر محمود میڈیا کو قابو کرنے کی بجائے حادثے میں ہلاک ہونے والی طالبات کے لواحقین سے معافی مانگیں اور ساتھ ہی انہوں نے چیف جسٹس آف پاکستان اور چیف جسٹس لاہور ہائی کورٹ سے ہلاکتوں کا نوٹس لے کر جوڈیشل انکوائری کا مطالبہ کیا تاکہ اصل حقائق لوگوں تک پہنچائے جائیں۔

    Is this thread for real, boycott Dunya TV for exposing these crooks. What exactly is it that is eating up noon league, the fact that Shabaz Sharif had 18 ministries under him, who has no qualification to be health minister and that he has to take the blame for the deaths of those inncoent people (may Allah grant them janna, and protect them in there grave).

    "they know where there children are", (M luqman stated on crossfire) what was that all about, this is shameless for a bogus jaali vote representatives to say or too even think about.

    This noon league is no better than GM, maybe even worse....

    And this boycott is not in support of any party
    Media is also becoming like begharat and daku fauj, whenever someone is exposed they create a big drama

    This is the same guy who in connivance with his MD were involved in sexual harassment of female journalist(who had also worked for DAWN,Express,GEO etc without facing such terrible environment and blackmailing )But working for Dunya Tv became a nightmare for her..

    Obviously it is the supporters of PML-N who are pissed by Duniya News' policy or airing of views against its working (am not using misrule intentionally) in Punjab...

    Well, PML-N supporters are not in any big numbers anyway so the boycott will hardly make any impact on Duniya News......lolllzz

    Wouldn't it be better to address those concerns and issues raised by Duniya News rather than resorting to extreme measures???
