Campaign for abdul qadeer khan

    this is not a political post the man deserves our respect at this hour if we could do this for the CJ why not abdul qadeer khan i say we start a campaign for him NON-PARTY based campaign

    its just a wish.. but difficult to achieve. Nawaz already not interested in bringing him as a presidential candidate. during the lawyers moment N-league scored a lot of points by saying so. Recently in an interview dr khan, said that he knows that NS will not let him be the president. (I hope someone here also saw that interview to confirm).
    I dont think PPP has the balls to make him the president, first what will Zardari sb do then?? secondly they wont be able to face the western pressure.
    Can Imran Khan be the one?? may be, if he won. But chances are he will make Hamid Gul or who knows harun ul rasheed as the president. SO it seems v difficult to get A.Q khan as President.

    Please give us break, Don't compare abdul qadeer khan with CJ. CJ is still working on pco oath. He and other pco judges not only validated marshal law, also they gave him unconstituational authority to change constitution. He was supporting mushraf in all crimes, till musharaf wanted to kick him out from supreme court.
    Abdul qadeer khan is true pakistani who was just serving pakistan, for the sake of pakistan. But unfortunately in present international situation, he has no chance to be elected as president of pakistan.

    Well of course AQ Khan cannot become a president. Outside of Pakistan, he is looked at with a dubious and a suspicious eye because of the nuclear profilation accusations. Secondly, he is a nuclear scientist with far too much knowledge, which is a controversial character to be. Thirdly, the military establishment and intelligence agencies will not leave him alone because of his deep knowledge of Pakistan's nuclear programme. President, at least in theory, is suppose to be free of such controversies.

    @PPL I AM talking abt a movment to restore his previous pistion in socitey and make him a ntional hero again and ofcourse ending his house arrect completelt... Hey ist worth a try..

    I am agree with you about candidacy.
    But proliferation accusations against Abdul qadeer khan are totally baseless. Mushraf and military establishment just blame him to divert attention from their past proliferation trade activities.
