Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
No, I don't believe it. Not even for a nano-second.
If Taliban or Pushtoon didn't represent majority of people of Afghanistan, then US and its allies would have won the war against them with ease.

This is propaganda as usual. Simple fact to realize is that Russia and America should stay within their physical borders. When they claim i.e. American interests than it means interference, political manipulation and occupation of other sovereign states so as to become sole ruler of the whole world.
Would this ever be possible or not is a different topic. But this certainly creates nationalistic movements and freedom fighters that one side calls Mujahideen, the other Terrorists!Posted 2 years ago on 23 Jan 2010 10:19 # -
Taliban represent the ISI and Pakistani establishment and its propaganda to destroy Pushtunwali to further the divide and rule policy. As a Pukhtun I can 100% agree with this analysis so do all experts in the region.

Once again you have nothing of substance to add to the discussion. Good job.

@Shaheen-e-Iqbal
I agree with your presecriptions but isnt it necesarry to clearity facts first. Are Taliban representing Pashtuns? Are they actually Pashtuns and can be taken for Pasthuns?
The interst surely arise because they are resisting and Pashtuns have a long hostory of resistence but will you call this war a Pashtun resisitence or Taliban resistence?
I dont know......

Taliban were and are students of religious jurisprudence.
Taliban, due to their religious affiliations were easily recruited to fight against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. It was a Jihad fardh as it was told to them. They never realized the wolf in a sheep’s skin that was Saudi Arabia a stooge of America in the fore front and America looking over the shoulder. Pakistan’s General Zia had similar religious affiliations.
Pashtuns are a nation. Read history of central Asia. I recommend it for you as serious studies.
This is a freedom fight against the occupants and exactly what the Afghans/Pashtuns believe. Borders are porous and locals related as blood relations across the border (still disputed) both in Afghanistan and Pakistan; you should come to realize this reality of facing Pashtuns who are historically known to be a formidable foe when offended. Offense you have committed therefore do not bring in Taliban (your own creation;a proxy against Russia) as a parallel to Pashtuns (a nation) who feel you occupied their country.
