Recently we all came to know that War on Terror had been ended albeit very very quietly by the Obama Administration and it was also brought to attention that due to the envoirnmental changes Pentagon is now gonna also focus on areas of mass mirgation, drought, famine and resources for food and clean water.

Remember when someone said that the next war would be fought for nothing else but food and water.

  2. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

This is exactly why I want Pakistan to adhere to self reliance.

We can live with empty bellies, we can live with eating 1 time a day, but we can't afford slavery or US hegemony or US's friendship

  3. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

This is exactly why I'm talking on friendskorner forum about Pakistan uniting with Afghanistan, as an idea for kick-starting re-unification of Muslim countries to oppose US and its hegemony, not only in this region, but in the entire world INSHALLAH

Having said that, a lot of awareness needs to be brought in the people and a lot of hard work will need to be done, before this dream can be realized

But there is a huge problem with that theory.

Do you know that Saudis and rest of Gulf states have bought the cattle production for the next 25 yrs from New Zealand.

Forget Afghanistan for a moment. Right now we have a severe crisis of food in our own country.

During the Flour shortages flour was nowhere to be found but amazing its byproduct was found every where i.e gram flour. Slowly and very slowly we are being forced out of or being competed out in the production of staples.

We need to force that policy back in and reign in the harvest as Egypt has done.

There needs to be awareness on this matter too. we are losing agricultural lands to high rise and building and rest of the world is busy making its own food.

all it requires is a sincere leadership. at the moment we are cultivating exactly half of our cultivable land. and with cultivating half the land with no technological aids, we manage to produce wheat that is enough for our needs (wheat shortage is another story for another day)

    Islams' three laws will solve the agricultural problems of Pakistan;

    1) a person can not leave his land un-cultivate for more than 3 years. failing to comply with this, his land would be taken by the state and give to someone who is willing to cultivate.

    2) if a person puts a fence around a piece of land, it becomes his. he is free to cultivate it.

    3) there is no concept of "mazariyat" in Islam

just these three laws will put an end to all the agricultural problems of Pakistan. so, all it requires is a sincere leadership that rules with Islam

  9. most of the Islamic countries are blessed with natural resources specially oil .
some of them are great agricultural ones.....

it just need a good and sincere leader ...
who can put things together for the betterment of the coming generations.

so they wont die out of hunger.

its only these puppet rulers who are overlooking this huge issue. the sincere Muslims know their capabilities and they want a sincere leadership that would harness the vast resources that have been gifted Allah (SWT) to the Muslim lands.
