Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman announced that no witness came forward with the evidence of sighting moon.

I wonder what evidence they require from a witness? A muslim giving witness to sighting moon is enough. But sarkari scholars have setup their own govt standards.

Witnesses in all matters is doubtful.This is why the developed countries rely more on forensic sciences,rather than witnesses in criminology and white collard crime.The kings in old era used to get witnesses in the shape of their wives and cousins to give witness that they were prophets.

Dear Talal,

I understand where you getting at by saying "Kings in old era used to get..." I have seen this rusty argument from you many times before. You are asserting that prophets were fraud... I'll not go in to that debate.

But regarding witness, I advise you to take off your materialistic lens and put on Islamic lens. Witness is an integrated part of Islamic judicial system. It relies on Islamic Educational system that cultures young generations in Islam, it depends on Islamic Social System that ensure Islamic social values are practiced. Similarly political & economic system is required from same ideology.

Anything taken out singly and implemented would not be justice. This is a package, not pick & choose what you like.

You need to study science of shahadat, it isn't about just witnessing.
