Dis-integration of Pakistan.

    Q1 Is it really happening ?

    Q2 Should it happen.

    Q3 What steps one should take to avoid it.

    Ans1) Ideologically yes, Sind, Baluch, and Sarhad all have grass roots level segregationist movements on varying degree of strength. So it is happening on an emotional level. Physical level not yet. But the nature of disintegration is based on a foundation of emotional reality.

    Ans2) Yes it should happen but in my view it should happen in a different manner. In my vision, instead of baluchis and sindhis breaking away, they should break Iran and India and add their areas into pakistan. Pathans instead of creating pathanistan in the current Pakistani territory, they should break Afghanistan and join the afgani territory into pakistan and expand pakistan..my idea is totally different, instead of hurting pakistan, lets expand its borders.

    Ans3) Step on macro level and micro level. Macro Level steps include confidence building measures between nationalities, and a ban on ethnic identity and an aggressive movement by media and every one to promote idea of Pakistan instead of other "stans", and on micro level money, huge huge amounts of money to be invested in the life of the masses of these areas. if only these two steps are taken, 98 percent ills will be finished ....

    2..it should NOT happen ...
    we should not provide a chance of anti Pakistan forces to have us like pieces of a chocolate cake .
    every province is supporting another in terms of resources .
    punjab is all wheat n textiles and sugar ,Baluchistan is gas ,sindh is rice and NWFP is fruits .
    do u know
    East Pakistan use to have jute and newsprint factory in Khalna ...we use to get newspaper at a very low cost .
    now East Pakistan the Bangladesh is provoding it to india and we have to BUY newsprint at a very high cost thats why our newspapers costs more than indian papers .
    do u wanna this happen with our wheat ,sugar cane,textiles and natural gas?
    3....we need to have a consensus on this problem .
    we should not divide on the UNITY of Pakistan .
    we need a UNITED PAKISTAN .
    no two ways about it .
    and we all should get rid of our opportunist leaders who r playing in the hands of enemy and trying to seed these kind of hatred in our heads like they successfully did in east Pakistan .

    after watching yesterday's video posted by potohari, seeing the way that pakhtoon journalist was talking to pakistani soldiers and subsequently the whole altercation between punjabi potohari & pakhtoon khan_sahib, I have very little doubt left that the volcano of disintegration hasn't already erupted yet, the only reason we can't see it is because we are a bunch of those kabutors who while closing their eyes are pretending that every thing is hunky-dory!

    I think its time we should dis-integrate. Probably even then things don't change for good because the problem lies in our attitudes thn anything else, but at least thn we won't have any excuse to blame some one else for our miseries.

    Or unless we wake up and realize our potentials!

    What kind of scenario do you see when you say that we should dis-integrate?

    Are you in any way assuming that the state could still remain intact even if we disintegrate?

    I think all the three states/provinces (Sindh, Punjab and NWFP) who opted for confederation called Pakistan should separate while Balochistan who never opted for Pakistan should be freed from Pakistan's occupation.

    Pakistan should disintegrate ...
    only a PPP fan can defend that .

    as PPP did in 1971.
    PPP is quiet use to it.

    A very useless thread

    its difficult for a country to go down to ashes

    At max a country can go down to zimbawabe or north korea

    but disintegration is a myth to discuss
