Discouragment of Bilateral Trade between Muslim Nation States

Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

Why doesn't Pakistan start Bilateral trade with other North Western Muslim states when it comes to acquisition of natural resources, like LNG ?

I read they went with a French firm;

Can someone shed some light on this ?

I believe, acquiring gas or LNG from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, or other surrounding Muslim states would have been much! cheaper than getting it from France. Those nations are rich! in natural resources. Why not conduct bilateral trade for acquiring LNG with them ?

What do you people think or know about this ?

Having said the above, if it is in the best interest of this nation, I have no problems with this current deal with France, French company.

I want to discuss about;

(1) better opportunities for trade
(2) increase/improvement of bilateral trade with other Muslim states
