It seems like a very small group (12 or so) of evangelicals are doing this under their 1st amendment right (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704358904575478241873665072.html). First of all I hope this group will take more rational approach. Even if they don't, as we know nuts are everywhere, we should remain peaceful. I was told by elders in united India it was very easy to start religious riots. All you needed was chopped head of cow outside any temple. There are 8 million Muslims in US and then all across the globe with heaviest concentration in ME. But I am afraid the strongest reaction for this nonsense 'd come from South Asia, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan. In county where it may happen will remain peaceful. Muslims and Christians will live peacefully but in Pakistan we may see few lives lost because someone did something 10,000 miles away. Few months back on face book incident Pakistan was only country where FB was banned and then tons of other sites and protests kept on growing. And finally US or facebook didn't do anything special and gradually all bans were lifted. When Babri mosque was demolished we burnt Hindu communities in interior Sindh. I hope even if these nuts carried on their senseless acts we won't. We need to learn how to peacefully register our anguish.

Yes this is the strange way of protests in Pakistan. 'A' did something to 'B' in a location 'C', so I would burn my home..

what will be the response from the muslim world if they burn Quran? Whats sad is that muslims in the east are in protest of imperalism of the West so American, British flags are burnt, and its the double policies in Israel and now Kashmir not because we hate Christians or Jews..... I don't recall anyone ever burning a bible, and no reason to as it is a holy book also.

There was a sense here that Eid might well fall on 9/11 this year. But now it would appear that it could be tomorrow like in KSA. So that potential message we need not deal with here.

But what an Iranian commander just said covers it perfectly: The Koran burning action is a PR ploy to take people's minds off the fact that 9/11 was an inside job, a false flag terrorist attack attributed to Muslim "hijackers".

ZK, you're wrong. The Bible (New Testament) is regularly burnt in Israel by the Jews. The Koran, no doubt, also. If you don't know about it, then you're not reading the right sources.

That attention seeking physco priest from florida said that as Muslims didn't wanted their Quran to be burnt so they(ground zero mosque admins) promised that they won't build a mosque near ground zero if I don't go ahead with burning of 200 copies of Quran.(Basically that retarded priest thought that he could use this deplorable act as bargaining chip to bully and blackmail ground zero mosque admins to quit their plans to build a mosque.)

Ground Zero's mosque's Imam Abdel Rauf have clarified that he haven't promised anything and mosque plans are still on as previously announced..

Defence sec Robert Gates phoned this jerk from Florida and instead of telling him that he is doing something completely wrong and senseless,he instead told him that if he(priest) carried out the burning then it would put American soldiers lives in danger.

Muslims have announced they would distribute 200,000+ copies of Quran on 11th September 2010 .
