HK, expand the thought there please. Is it that you are saying that earthquakes are a punishment for unjust societies?

Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
Yes. Injustice = struggle of humans in taking wrong action.
For example;
(1) When humans cut trees, jungles, then there aren't enough left for the cycle of rain to come about
So, rain vanishes. The catastrophe of vanishing of rain is man made. It is the result of actions of man i.e., illegally cutting trees/jungles.
The balance is disturbed. Not just disturbed, it is severely! disturbed right now, especially within our own borders.
(2) Similar is the case with earthquakes

OK, thanks. That was clear and well argued. But one more little thing. The worst offenders in this respect would be the brilliant West which has practically decimated the SouthAm rain forest and committed similar depredations in Africa and in our own Asia. Come on, HK, get that just society up and running as soon as possible and before we are all swept off the face of this splendid planet Earth.
PS - I remember in the last posting of the Friday sermon the sentence that to those who least believe in Allah four meals a day are accorded, whereas to his strong believers hardly even one meal comes out of the kitchen. According to the same principle, those who've caused the greatest harm hardly ever get earthquakes, whereas we poor people go from one to the next, apparently.
