I think it is extremely gracious of Shareef family to use only 250 commandos. They have every right to use all 960.

We should all appreacte this graciousness of the Shareef family and their love for the comman man to leave 700 policemen to serve the people.

Hundreds of commandos deputed to protect Sharif family: Elite Force ‘forced’ to serve ruling elite

The CM had announced on April 3, 2009 that the Elite Force – the most highly trained wing of the police force with over 960 personnel – would be utilised for the purpose it was established for, not to guard the ‘elite’ of the province. But despite the passage of nine months, there are still over 250 Elite Force personnel deployed to protect the CM and his family.

This is despicable behaviour from NS and i am not surprised.
People are dying in mass numbers and elite force should be helping to protect the common man, NS has enough resources to hire private security guards for his personal protection.

Nawaz Sharif is national leader and in this situation he should be more protected ,because terrorist want to destabilize the system by all means and want to establish their agenda .and of course his life can be in danger .

  5. BB was arrogant enough to refuse adequate security cover. Those who equate her to a saint will deliberate it as her love for the masses, while all the way it was planned how her armoured carrier will be detoured and she be enticed to amerge so as to take a shot.

NS is not as stupid as he may appear to some. He deserves heavy security cover. Private or provided!

I agree that her greed, lust and hunger for power got her killed but we can not overlook the role of mir-jaffers in her rank who backed stabbed her.

They gave her up to secure powerful role in brokered power deal but dressed up as democracy.

  10. Why we (tax payers) are paying for NS security. Is he bearing some public office? If his life is in danger, he should arrange security for himself? If Govt. is paying him for the security why Govt. is not protecting other citizens like this.

agreed with lets do it. no doubt NS is important leader now, anything harmful to him will bring more problems to pakistan. but i think it should not be from the money of tax payers. he is rich enough to secure himself from his own money easily. by doing so it wil be more benefit to his political image.
