Media has become a powerful pillar of our society in recent years. It has both +ve and -ve effects. Do they have a right to barrage into a Hospital? Is there anything limiting them or they can cross any boundaries?
Pakistan & India are probably the only countries where live police encounters, killings and dead people shown on TV and Newspapers. That day, I was watching sky news with some doctors and they were showing the arrested men who were involved in that british child. The way those guys were paraded in front of the media along with the arms and ammunition recovered from them was seen as unbelievable. The TV anchor and the reporter , both were astonished, the way media can access to any proofs/case material before a judicial trial of an alleged criminal. In the case in Lahore, Media transgressed from their legal and ethical responsibility. They have no right to shoot in a hospital without the express permission of the patients, Doctors and the Medical Superintendent.
The snake of media has now become like a Dinosaur which is hurting our nation more then any benefit. There should be a standard COC for them as these days, anyone can join these channel and all of a sudden become the "Intellectual" of this nation. I have realize the power and the associated buzz, you get from this power, by observing some close friends who works for media. You will be surprise to see these icons in private and their intellectual level but have been portrayed as the "Brians of the wiseman"
If we didn't check this problem now then in few years time, they will be actually diverting all our attention/energy towards petty, unimportant issues and will "LEAD" us. I don't have to tell that who owns these groups of newspapers or the TV Channels... Imagine, Dawood Ibrahim as our national leader after Zardari! LOL

At this particular incident, Media's behavior is unjustified.
It is time to draw a line between Reporting and Blackmailing.
There are some Media players who cross Journalistic Code of Ethics to to raise the rating.
