Well, if Pakistan had the power like the US does, I am sure it will have many bases around the world and many here would be justifying their presence.
Just like when Muslim world was a superpower, they tried to occupy, plunder and influence other kingdoms and regions.
It is very important to see this issue from the point of view of neutrality.
We'd better concentrate on our own internal problems and solve them.
There is no grand battle between Islam vs non-Muslims going on as made out to be by some. There is only a battle of interests between states.
We need to get our heads clear and come out of this ideological mumbo jumbo. States are not made on the basis of religion. Nationality must not be defined on the basis of religion, if you don't want to exclude the Pakistani Christians and other faiths from it.
We have nothing to learn ideologically from the more-loyal-than-king-himself Muslims living in the comfort of west and devising all sorts of ideological, end of times, battle scenarios. They have the luxury to, but the poor people living in Muslim world can't afford that luxury.
The solution should be home grown. Fake patriotism should be replaced with strong sentiment against corruption, affiliation with the plight of poor, justice for all and tolerance - this will lead to healthy patriotism, born out of real progress, not out of ashes of defeat and reaction-ism.
