Put in simple words, we (Pakistanis) dont have any say in the day to day running governments and managing affairs. True. But probably it did not start now.

In my opinion, our people at helm of affairs (beaurocracy + politicinans + army) does not have any faith in the talent of the people and resources of the country. Actually these people knew that they themselves are not able to manage these two (energetic, talented people and resources of the land), so they resorted to taking loans from the other countries to cater for financial needs of the country, and started ignoring us. They did not care to develop us (to set up educational institutions, research institutes), afraid that if the general public becomes educated these inefficient clowns would be pushed out of their (illegally occupied) seats.
When they borrowed, they lost the self respect and had to bow the demands of the lender (a consortium of the donor agencies, countries). They have to safegaurd their interests. Now it is an open secret that Pakistan government affairs are being run by people other than Pakistanis.

Saddest to me is the fact that Saudia has (as it seems) pressurized even the opposition (NS) not to do anything against Parvez Musharraf.

I hope our governments start trusting us (the people) and use our resources (human and others) wisely, so that we throw away this KASA E GADAGARI and start living as a self sufficient self respecing nation. Ya Allah help us.

Well said. Now it is for the masses to decide that despite of an acute lack of leadership in Pakistan, public has to take an initiative now and do something. Media can (if they want to) play a central role in aid for this mass public denouncement of the current inept government who is playing puppet in the hands of anti Pakistani forces.
