  1. There has been a noticable increase in a trend to open threads. A member resorts to open as much threads as possible that has contributed greatly to a marked degradation in Quality discussions.

What is your say on this topic. Pls provide your honest/unbiased comments or suggestions.

I agree 100%... I suggest 2 threads per day per member to control quality

I am proponent of less number of threads but yet again I support free market too. Here is a problem, too many threads make an important threads disappear. Yet, again eveybody think his/her thread is important. Its like a child.

Some respectable memebers open thread on non-issues. I think that while number of threads cant be limited, but moderators should close/delete the threads:

    1. with non-issues
    2. that smell of hatred towards any ethnic group or creed
    3. which are already discussed.

Members should open topics having some challenging/Intellectual Issues to discuss.
Ideology deserves to be discussed here rather than zardari ,benazir, altaf, taliban, kashif abbasi..
Such topics are good to laugh at, as for as my priorities are concerned..
ONLY IDEOLOGICAL FORUM, PKPOLITICS SHOULD MOVE IN THE DIRECTION.

    Thnx

What if a member opens three Sensible threads which are really interesting?

what if a member stays in his two thread limit and opens a real boring threads

  7. Leave that to the moderators.

moderators are also facing teething problem, they will develop their skills with time and i m afraid that in this time they will make this forum a 3rd grade class room.

Make some rules that these threads have to be deleted and these topics will be discussed and then if a member posts 3 or 4 whats wrong. Why to stick with only 2.

  9. No, it was a 3rd grade class room but not any more. 2 is not a hard and fast rule but for a start let us stick to it and see.

hum spammers ka kya hoga :)

on a more serious note, i think you are right. there are a number of instances where the same discussion is going on in two threads.

so, in my opinion members should be encouraged to search first before posting. if there is already a thread on the topic, then he/she should add his bit in that thread instead of creating a new one. like ive always pasted links related to thar in the same thread that has been going on for quite a while.

    just my 2 cents.

I agree that there can be a limit to open threads but my concern is about the type of filters people suggesting. An issue might be a non issue for someone else. One thing of my interest can be extremely foolish and boring for the other. We are all human and same rule for mods. The mods are also members and can have personal likes and dislikes so what if one will try to judge every thing from his narrow glasses.

I think there should be a combination of at least three mods to decide about a thread.
