yes indeed its a great achievement!

it is way better then our current old F-16 fleet! their are at lest 10 customers waiting in line for JF-17. Azerbaijan has already placed an order of 26 from pakistan! each costing about 22 $ million! While pathetic indian LCA light combat aircraft has taken over 30 years and still not in the service!

godddddd bless the PAK LAND!! pakistan!!

The serial production of JF-17 Thunder has already started and the production capacity would be gradually taken to 25 aircraft per year by 2011.

About 60 per cent of the aircraft’s frame and 80 per cent of its avionics would be manufactured in Pakistan by 2010.

The first 50 aircraft would have avionics of Chinese origin while the next batch would be fitted with indigenously-developed avionics and European radars.

Pakistan had begun negotiations with British and Italian defence firms over potential avionics and other systems for JF-17.

PAF will induct 150 aircraft into its inventory in the first phase, under an agreement with the Chinese company, and the total induction could go up to 250.

The JF-17 will replace Pakistan’s MiG-21-derived Chengdu F-7, Nanchang A-5 and Mirage III/V currently in service.

Azerbaijan and Zimbabwe have each placed orders as well. Nine other countries which have expressed interest in purchasing the JF-17 are Bangladesh, Myanmar, Egypt, Iran, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and Algeria.

MashaAllah a GR8 military and economical achievement!!!

thanks to Gen. musharraf for restarting this project and not actually going for a pathetic MIG-33 literally choesn by Bakwaz sharif back in 1994. so in 2001 PAF decided to scrap the project of Mig-33 to replace its aging fleet of old F-7s and Mirages but rather chose to go for a more advanced plane that could meet the task of PAF.
now with grace of almighty Allah PAF has achieved a great millstone in its history of pakistan 4 JF-17 thunder will fly past over islamabad saluting their President for giving another life to PAF!

Back the facts with references :) You are still welcome to see that JF-17 agreement is signed by Nawaz Sharif. For the record, I am not a voter of NS either, just a believer of democracy.

Actually the fact is that both the civilian govts of BB and NS had to agree and sign a contract that they will not interfere in Pak millitary affairs. In exchange they were kept informed by the military and given updates.

Second, one of the drawbacks with our politicians is that most of them are not educated in military affairs, thats why I say we need better and more appropriate political leaders. Since they are not educated, they are truly incapable of understanding the military needs and hence can never make credible and reliable decisions pertaining to our military.

Third, since our politicians are basically inept at military affairs, the military makes all our military related decisions regardless of whether its procurement or development of military equipment.

The NS signing was simply an honorary gesture since he was the PM at the time. It doesnt hold any merit. He just signed a paper to make it official bro, the adminstration had nothing to do with the decision or the study that led to that decision.

And again I am NOT giving credit to any one establishment or party. But these r the facts and dont ask me to show u where, if u disagree then research and let me know what u find out!!!

So Army knows what its needs are, do they learn policy making in Kakul? and how to run the countries. This is exactly what Kh. Asif said in his speech, that military assume that it knows better.

This is exactly what I have been trying to tell you, that civilian government as to control this menace. You are asking me to research, have you done your research? How many wars this army has won? I am not talking about battles.

This useless white elephant has not won a SINGLE WAR. All military regimes can rewrite history, but it is going to be difficult in 21st century.

As I said the country is not about your or my Dad. I vote according to my logic and reasoning, not what my Father has told me. On second thought, he helped me to get enough education so I can decide on my own.

If you are against democracy, then whats the point of even argument? You can wait for next Military coup, whats the rush.

    @ Javedsheikh

Ignorant fool! during 2002 PAK and IND military stand off, PAF was not equiped with missile that could reach indian planes while the indian planes could lock on us before we even detect them in our radars! so you miserable deepshittt Pak military is trying to make sure that when such incident happens again we are equipped enough to keep the enemy at the bay if \"god for bids\" war brakes out!
as for those lil kunts sayin that these plans are gonna be used on our own people?? then there are alot other ways to do that rather then use jets!

Bro any wise educated individual wil tell you that punjabi, pashtoon, ppp, pmln, sindhi, mqm and all such affiliations should and does have limits - simple human decency demands it. Its only ignorant people, Jahils who cant see those limits. Dont be an extremist, quit your hate!!!!

How in the world u claim to be for Democracy and hate everyone who is different than u?!?!?! Maybe I missed this in the Quaid\'s principles!!!

Wake up call, like I said earlier u are no follower of Mr. Quaid, stop pretendin! U only foolin urself!

Did I say that your affiliation is any of my concern? You have every right to be member of any political party or Mafia. I do not hate you, because my hate (btw I never such strong word for anybody) is generally reserved for people whom I have known personally or about the people about whom I have certain knowledge.

I have friendship at personal level with MQM supporters. Now the good thing is I am not in karachi, so sometimes they listen my arguments, but don\'t threaten to kill me. I also do not pay protection money either.

I just have been a supporter of democracy, I don\'t put conditions of illiteracy or any other on democracy. I don\'t consider anybody super smart if they have great university education, but still support military rule. Because \"Taleem nain kuch naheen wigarna\"

Obviously u have never lived in a democracy. That statement has discrimination written all over it. Creating stereotypes, labeling individuals because of their political or religious beliefs is against the basic principles of Democracy.

    I know u already knew that, but I thought I just remind u!!! ;-)

Alright I say @JS is just another Jyala, or Hillary is a democrat? is that discrimination. Where do you see stereotype. You keep on supporting Army rule, so what can tell you?

Also \"Obviously u have never lived in a democracy.\" :) your may be right, because elite class like yours may never give us a chance to live in democracy. May be we can only enjoy democracy by leaving country.

You can just simply say that my guess was incorrect, and that is alright too :)

Can someone plz telll me that how Gawadar port will be accessed ? whats route ?

Its through coastal highway at the moment. The cargo will first come to khi and then go upcountry so why not use khi or port qasim port (both of which are quite under utilized ).

And for mush lovers , Gawadar port was a project conceived , intiated a lot before the birth of mushraf. The plan in 90\'s was to link Gawadar port thourgh Shadadkot-gawadar motor way .

Mush has pushed with gawadar to allot some more sea facing plots to forces.

    @askhan75,

If you have never paid \"Chanda\", then it does not mean it did not happen. My cousin lived in Hyderabad all his life and he was paying Chanda throughout his life. The personal friend of Karachi who told me about his father, he also told me about his father was threatened to give Chanda.

So If I something did not happen to me, does not mean does not happen. Mafia\'s Chanda practice is a WELL KNOWN fact. If it does not happen to, there got to be a SPECIAL reason.
