Bhaiya...I am very much against Musharraf but I must say that he was at least better than these scum dogs in the current government and opposition.

Musharraf gets the credit for private media not free media, as we all know very well, when the media, free or under influence started to go against him, he dealt out an iron fist.

Musharraf is the person who gave freedom to MEDIA and he was self a victim of his own created free media.
East or West Musharraf is the Best.

I'll give credit to sharfoo chaprasi for not standing in the way of media liberalization. That's about it. Media liberalization had already started in the 1990s with STN, NTM, Dish, etc.
Until early 90s, India too had only Doordarshan.

The Pimp in Khakis turned mass murderer was there at time when even the autocratic Arab world saw a media revolution with outlets of such caliber as Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiya etc..

But, I appreciate Imran Khan's honor (he's one person I expect excellence from), when he gives credit where it belongs (including the one of the Pimp and mass murderer).

But sharfoo chaprasi's role in media liberalization is much effete to say, a comparable role of Zia...

(marde momin marde haq? or is it bhondi aakhein chechra fuq? lol)

...in developing the already approved Nuclear programme and the Al-Khalid project.

that is because your lovely corrupt PPP is looting the whole nation. and militancy was not controlled until Taliban made their way all the way to Swat. while in Musharraf's days, militants were kept in much more check

economy runs from image of country,

Freedom of media is international Phenomena, all over the world media is getting freedom and expanding in last many years, Nobody should get credit for this.

Does not matter, it is musharf, zarari or Nawaz Sharif, nobody will be able to block this media in present situation.

However we are seeing lot of negative things from this free and rebel media, in pakistan. They want everybody accountable but they don't like that anybody should make them accountable for their mischiefs. Really getting out of control. Over confidence to attack and target anybody they want.

Musharaf perhaps thought that channels would praise of him whether he would do something good or bad.But to his astonishment,media started telling people truth about his poor governance and foreiners dictating him on all the internal matters.

now even the media anchors are sayin..tht whdeva imporvment and achievements we had..it was in the musharrafs era..( regardless of his stupid decisions becasue of whihc all his efforts went down the drain..)..!!

anyways..as i always say...look at the achievements..nt personalities...may whoeva did them...if they are gud fr the nation..we shud appreciate it..otherwise we will always remain a nashukree and thankless qaum always pointin and playin blame games..!!

n fr sumone/s who still think tht it WASNT n effort worth praising.....shud tune into PTV and watch the 9 O clock hakoomatnama......and stay content with tht..!!

musharaf wasnt tht dumb..he knew tht media would engulf him as well if he went wrong..none of the other leaders have the ba**s to do this...even now..parties have affiliation with channels...so give the due credit..n stop bickering..!

being a karachiite...i always praise the work of MK..and thr development work.....but this is a fact tht..MQM can be called as a thaali ka baingan...i remember altaf hussain was the first person to admire zardari as a president...and i hardly remember tht whn they havent been a part of coalition...i guess its the top level leadership and the blame has to be faced by low level leadership..!!
