Gas-Chor PML-N MPA’s factory workers thrash SNGPL raiding team

    LAHORE: Fourteen officials of the Sui Northern Gas company have been allegedly beaten by the workers of a factory owned by a PML-N MPA Pir Ashraf Rasool.

    The gas company’s task force, comprising 15 members, had raided the factory in their official vehicles at 5 pm Tuesday, after knowing about gas theft allegedly by the Buraq Poly Fibre on the Sheikhupura Road. After identifying the reason of the SNGPL’s task force being there, the factory workers attacked them and opened fire on them.

    The sources told The News that the factory was getting gas through a ‘bypass connection’. The injured included Muazzam Hamdani, Zulfiqar Siddiqui, Khalid Paul, Major Asjad, Farhan, Shafeeq, Usman, Waseem, Nasir, Bashir Ahmad, Allah Hayat, Ashraf and Aslam. ...

    You of all people call me an MQM lover? I'm really heartbroken. Anyways, as far as being afraid is concerned, it was Immi boy who chickened out (or got intimidate) by MQM and declared them his natural allies.

    Gas Chor say Jungle Chor tak...PML-N nay kuch nahi chora...
    ...Later local MPA Maulana Ilyas Chinioti asked him to lease out forest land to his relatives but the DCO declined the same. MPA moved a privilege motion in the Punjab Assembly and as a result of that motion the DCO was transferred and Irshad Ahmad was appointed as a new DCO....The petitioners said the new DCO had initiated process of leasing out land to MPA’s relatives. They prayed that appointment of the new DCO and leasing of the land be cancelled.

    Good news is LHC has granted a stay against this 'lease'...

    (Here I want to add: I really appreciate another statement by LHC in today's Daily Jang -- sorry I don't have the link but it is in the print edition -- :
