He sounds mellow to be an ISI chief. No wonder NS wanted to replace Musharaf with him as army chief.
In this interview he contradict himself as well at couple of places, @13:00 he said Aziz was with him and does not wanted to pick Musharaf in uniform where as @16:40 he said he was not in contact with Azia.

I guess he meant, General Akram was with him. Give him a break, he is a bit old as well.

Part 2 (Very Important Point)
Listen to him when he tells about 22 indian agents arrested in 1999 who were actually hindus working in Pakistan as Molvi's and were members of various religious organization to an extent that one of them was Imam in satellite Pindi's biggest mosque, and were involved in killing Shia's and Ahmedhi....

I guess many people don't understand what it means to be in "solitary confinement" for 2 years, such a long torture alone can result in nervous and mental breakdown.
2 years in solitary confinement is not a trivial thing, it's a mental torture for a long time.
Secondly Army Chief controls ISI and makes all appointments directly in ISI, top officers are answerable to COAS and not DG ISI. When benazir appointed general kallu as DG ISI then kallu had no power because Army Chief made him a powerless guy by giving all the powers to Gen Asad Durrani GD MI and handled all matters through him.
Butt is explaining military officers thinking and how they work/react during their job, that needs to be understood.

@ Dusky
You are mistaken brother, please watch the video again. He is not talking about Aziz at @ 13.00 but referring to General Usmani, Core Commander Karachi. General Usmani later opposed Musharraf after 9/11, but was house arrested.

Observe his body language. Eye movements and gestures are in coordination. He does not appears to be fabricating events.

Well usually their are three sides of any story, in this part of our national story their are more then three and all of them claim they have the correct version.
I seriously doubt his competency as ISI chief. If all this conspiracy by Musharaf and his allied generals played under his nose and as ISI chief he was unaware, this one things speaks volume.
And I do understand what "solitary confinement" for 2 years mean. It was not a walk in the park but he was never tortured and he himself accept they were always nice with him. I am quite surprise a "four star" general of Pakistan Army is losing his marbles over this.
