Allama Iqbal’s grandson to join PTI
Lahore: Waleed Iqbal, the grandson of Allama Iqbal, Pakistan’s national poet, has decided to join the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf on Tuesday.
According to media report, Waleed Iqbal will make official announcement of joining the PTI after meeting with Imran Khan.
“I have expressed my wish to Imran Khan to come to my residence and hopefully he will meet me on Tuesady,” Waleed said.

These are the kind of people that PTI should look for. Clean, honest and patriotic unlike those turncoats who only look for their personal and family interests.
I hope he is clean and honest, but just to be grandson of Allama IQbal can not prove him to be honest and clean.
I remember, that justice javed Iqbal, son of Allam Iqbal was Lahore high court judge. There were many stories. Peoples were saying that he broke all time records in corruption.

میرا خیال ہے کہ یوفس صلاح الدین بے نظیر کے دور میں ایم پی اے تھے اور میں صلاح الدین بھی ایک دور میں ایم پی اے یا ایم این اے رہے ہیں
میاں صلاح الدین انیس سو ستتر میں ایم این اے منتخب ہوئے تھے
نواز لیگ نے دو ہزار دو میں غالبا اٹھارہ سیٹیں لی تھیں اور اس نے لاہور کی بھی اکثر سیٹوں پر امیدوار نہیں دیے تھے. اسکی بنیادی وجہ نواز شریف فیملی کی ملکی سیاست سے دوری تھی
Noon league ne 2002 mein Lahore kee tamam seats par candidates diay thay, laiken ISI aur establishment kee support nein thee, es liay kamyaabi nein hui.
Noon never won any election without support of ISI and establishment.

It is the first time I see the grandson of the noble Allama Iqbal. I see a non-selfish and down to earth man with an aim to do something for his country. I cannot anything else than to admire such good attitude. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has definitely been boosted by this new arrival, alhamdolillah!

thats good, it is the electables that actually make a party, not just one man.
Imran Khan after 15 20 years has finally figured it out... if he can get good electible people with good stature, i doubt that people of Urban Punjab will not come out for him.
its not so bad an idea to take a leaf out of Altaf Bhai's leadership and how he has empowered electable people from each constituency that the people of the constituency respect. real organization.

and one more thing waleed iqbal agar election laray ga to wo pti k platform say laray ga and most probaly from lhr aur lhr k baray may to aap jan gye hongay after jalsa of 30th oct(minar-e-pakistan) k yaha kis ka naam goonjta hay.
so situation is totally different u can say javed iqbal was against bhutto and waleed is with bhutto...

The use of family names in politics is what ails the system as it stands. I frankly could not care less who Waleed is as long as he is competent, committed and honest. Nepotism needs to be uprooted from Pakistan and for this reason everyone must vie for public offices through merit and their own hard work.
There is no political capital to be had in whether an individual is related to Iqbal or not. This fact is utterly unimportant. I am sure no one believes that somehow the astonishing qualities of Iqbal have translocated into the fruits of his loins.

aur harta to imran khan bhi raha hay lhr say, hara to bhutto bhi tha unhi elections may against mufti sahab thay koi ap ko yaad hoga yakinan but baray logo k liye defeat koi bari cheez nae hoti.
rahi baat iqbal k khandan ke to un k khandan ke izzat apni jaga qaim o daim hay mashallah wesay personally i am not inspired by javed iqbal...

although there is a huge diffrence between bhutto and imran i don need to explain those differences everyone knows.

I fully agree with you. He must work for a place in the party and I think he was of the same opinion since he had no conditions before joining the party!
