Are there any Hindus here on PKP?
Posted 7 months ago on 26 Oct 2011 17:43 # -
@LifeH2O
Yes there are.
I didn't type the word Hindu in the original thread but when I got a message from someone then added the word Hindu to save this thread from any controversy.

Happy Diwali.
I became sad, disappointed and disgusted when I read news items about the plight of our Pakistani Hindi brothers and sisters getting discriminated during Sind flood relief efforts.
Although I am not certain if the news item was true but if it was then it is a matter of shame for us.
Secondly, I dont really like the word "minorities" being used for non-Muslim Pakistanis.
Posted 7 months ago on 26 Oct 2011 18:14 # -
There is no harm in wishing "festival greetings" to non-Muslims.
Happy Diwali to all Hindus living in Pakistan.
And also, Happy Diwali to the "Hanuman" of Jati Umra and his followers.

Abdul Rehman;
I only mentioned their belief in One Creator;
It is not for me to say what they consider themselves to be, that is their business.
So, I leave it.

Folks,
Appended below is a message that I received on my personal e-mail from a very respectable member on this forum and my truly steadfast muslim brother (yes my brother):دیوالی کے پر مسرت موقع پر ہم آپکو دلی مبارکباد پیش کرتے ہیں.
I was so very delighted beyond my imagination on getting the above message. To me this gentleman is indeed a human being and true representative of Islam.
I would not have shared this info, but then I thought I shall to show everyone what Islam and a true Muslim means and represents.
And yes I am a Pakistani Hindu (in that order precisely) and occassionally do contribute my humble thoughts and opinion on this forum.

It is nice to see that most of the contributors are happy to all the hindus of Pakistan and else where a happy Diwaali.
Abdul Rehman;
I respect your choice not wanting to wish hindus a happy Diwaali even though I don't agree with you; you need to respect other peoples' choice who want to do so. You are entitled to your exclusionist view but please don't expect others to within or without your exclusion zone.

I think this thread reflects true Pakistani mindset. Open, kind and off course some are conservative (right in their own perspective).

Khanseena1 sahib
Thanks a bunch
SochPakistani sahib,
I do agree with your comment above. This is what I really like about Pakistanis as compared to Indians.

Happy Diwali, says Imran Khan
Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Wednesday wished Hindus a happy Diwali on the occasion of the religious festival.

I have already wished for Diwali greetings to my ex and now Hindu colleagues.
I wish all Hindus a happy, healthy, peaceful Diwali. I pray for a prosperous Pakistani and Pakistanis, be they of any religion, creed, province, or may speak any language. May Allah bring health, wealth, peace and happiness to our homes and lives.

Salam...we muslims should respect other human beings regardless of their religion/nationality but wishing them on their festivals/celebrations should be avoided...

Hope this will not create any controversy and start a debate. Salam to all and peace

ahmeed, I tried to say the same thing but my posts were deleted. The Creator wants to guide all his creation- human beings to the absolute truth and has given us guidance that are in the link you posted. I am afraid it may be deleted.
To other posters:
Who loves Creator's entire creation? It is the Creator not creation. Don't try to be nice at the expense of disobeying Allah and His Messenger's commands. You may care for the well being of our Hindu brethren in this finite world but Allah and His Prophet care for the well being of Hindu brethren in eternal world and hence the instructions not to greet.

Oblivion;
Thanks very much, a very happy Diwali to you too.
It's a bit early to wish you a happy Chanukah but I hope you have a great time. Will you celebrate in Israel or else where? Come on, light those candles with fervour and passion.
