During this time on failure of ISI, Army and Govt, Haqqani has been doing a wonderful job representing Pakistan.

It been a very tough job for him and he has done it wonderfully. Without any support from the government.

Generals dont care if someone does a favor to them. Look at Musharraf. NS saved his as. after Kargill but later on Musharraf kicked him out and wanted to kill him.

Haqqani might try to repeat the KL Bill strategy by using baaps of establishment to bring establishment under civilian control...or may be he wont because now is not a good time to do that as Pakistan is in serious trouble.

    Are you kidding?
HOw hard is it to have your tongue constantly on the "behinds" of Amrikan politicians.....

When has this guy ever taken a stand for Pakistan. This guy is a American spokesman who unfortunately happens to have strong links to Zardari.

when the govt did not even know what to say, how to react, and where busted,

haqqani was the man who spoke boldly in front of the Americans when no one else was willing to.... give credit where due.

Haqqani is the one of the most pathetic and incompetent brown sahib I have witnessed. He speaks what Americans wants to hear. He has no guts.

well... atleast he spoke, and spoke boldly. you can twist his words whichever way you like.

others where choking and words could not even come out of their mouths to counter americans tough questions. this guy was the only one willing to speak and break the deadly silence.

Haqqani had no choice but to give a statement. Otherwise you think he would be invited to dinner with Diane Feinstein?

What about his statement had anything except brown sahib mentality oozing from it?

well, imagine yourself in his shoes...

with your country's intelligence proven farce, with your leadership quiet.... the fact that he got himself out of trouble in those interviews is still quite an accomplishment.... on top of that he spoke confindently and to me he did not look apologetic at all but looked bold.

khair, you have right to your opinion.

"Pakistan's ambassador to the United States, Hussain Haqqani said that he and his embassy were receiving threatening phone calls and emails since the US raid that killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in the garrison town of Abbottabad on Sunday."
