This is the dilema, people in pakistan think that speaking english can make them intelligent, wise, knowledgable and educated.
For God sake, grow up, it is just an other language out of thousands of languages in the world.

Well i agree with those who think that if one is not capable enough to speak any lang whether english or any other,he should not even bother tryin it then...why our ppl like to make fun of themselves?...this minister was holding a press conference in pakistan where urdu is our national lang and majority understand it very well then why he chose to act smart by speaking english rather than conversing in nataional lang?...what was he trying to show?...a paindo was just exposed with his inferiority complex... simple!

Memberwhn ronaldo prefer speakin in brazilian and zidane replies in french to an english question...thn why the h*** we have to speak ruff language and tear a language apart .....just reply in urdu....so is the case with this loser raja riaz...and our other WANNA BE english speakers.....take the case of meera...inzamam and whd not...its a long list.....so the rule is...learn it first..( nt the accent..but just the proper language and proper use of it) and then speak it....!! i repeat accent has nuthing to do with this as in a country like UK alone there are 5 to 6 different accents and all of them think tht their accent is the best...so its nt abt accent which a few of our karachiites ladies and gents try to do and they think tht by doing this they can put influence on others infact it looks ridiculous whn we try to speak a few words and tht even in a wanna be accent..so its better to speak the right language with its right grammar and its right usage and learn it properly...!!

If one can not speak any alien lang why should one especially if he is a ruler/leader has to convey his message to his people in a language which majority in the nation dont understand?...sad to see how some people in our country defend incompetent leaders like Raja Riaz...he didn't even know what he was reading on what what matter...so what better can we expect from them!

There is no shame in learning & speaking in English but for God sake, one has to learn it properly and people who represent us in parliment should be a role model ( ha ha ha @ role model)ooper say zaalim ko " luqmay" bhee mill rahey thay lakin dheet aadmee nay English kee taang tornay ka moqa jaaney nahee deeya! Get rid of Urdu medium schools and we will have better English speaking people in our country. Main culprit is our multi-tiered education system not Raja Riaz.
Lower class = go to Govt run urdu medium schools
Lower middle class = some goes to private and Govt
Middle class = private schools
Upper middle class = private schools and O levels
Upper class = go to USA and UK schoolsWhy can't we just have same system for all kids in our country?
