    Law minister holding Swiss documents: sources

    ISLAMABAD: Sources have revealed that all documents about Swiss cases and letters sent to the Swiss officials are being kept by the Federal Law Minister Dr Babar Awan.

    According to sources, when Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan asked the Law Minister to hand over the Swiss record, the later responded: “Over my dead body”.

    On this Khan said he is resigning from the post as the Attorney General of Pakistan and will mention all these reasons in his resign.

    However, a top government figure telephoned the attorney general and requested him to cite personal reasons for the decision to resign. However, Khan declared the law minister and his ministry responsible for his sudden resignation.

    That crook Babar Awan is finally showing his true colors. Obviously there is something awfully wrong in those documents which will expose Zardari and his fraudsters so Babar Awan does not want to hand them over to any one. Obviously when they are physically in his hand then their authenticity is at stake as well. He might forge or temper with those documents or might even destroy some as well. Swiss authorities obviously must have some kind of copies though.

    The fourteen years swiss cases documents and files were handed over to Wajid Shamsul Hassan, Ambassador to UK, by Swiss Attorney and the ex Atrorney prosecuting on behalf of Pakistan. Both jointly went through all the documents before handing over. How it reached to Babar Awan, I have no knowledge. However, it is known some NAB personnel were sent to London to collect those documents. Geo made daily headlines and top stories that a carton has been seized which contained "solid" proof against Zardari's money laundering and corruption.

    My simple question is this what those solid proofs were doin during fourteen years proceedings before Swiss Magistrate. If there were solid proofs, the case required hardly three or four hearings.

    This was the opinion of lawyer for government of Pakistan (which had charged Benazir and Zardari with corruption but then took a U turn after dictator Musharraf's controversial and illegal National Reconciliation Ordinance )


    Dominique Henchoz, a lawyer for Pakistan, confirmed its withdrawal as a civil party in remarks to the daily Le Temps. “Just because there has been an amnesty for the good of the country doesn’t mean that no crime was committed,” she added.

    Babar Awan should be arrested for obstruction of justice and should be granted his wish i.e. Death. This guy has been made law minister and he acts like he also enjoys immunity just like president of Pakistan enjoys immunity. His misunderstanding should be cleared and he should face the music for over stepping.
    He got a PhD in Islamic studies from some fraud american university which sells PhD degrees. That “fraud” university was closed down in the year 2000 and was also fined US$1.7 million.

    If Babar Awan is a law abiding man he should advice to others to face courts and allegations them even if allegations are false. He should not advice others to steal or burn the case record. If each criminalwill be allowed to hide his case record then there will be no justice in the world.

    Doctor Babar? I am surprised that despite of the knowledge of his fake degree, yet the media writes the title of Dr. with this crook? He is clearly a fraud person who has been working for his personal benefits. Don't forget that Israr Shah's membership was canceled just because of this baboon.

    Doctor Babar gober, what kind of fake degree holder he is-?.
    Is he a superior than SC and its decission.-? SC is requested to take a sever action against this,man for hindering and not,allowing AG to comply with the orders of SC.

    Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    This man has exposed himself. He should be dealt with.

    (1) People of this nation should demand his immediate resignation, or

    (2) the court of law should take care of him, for becoming a hurdle in imparting justice to people of Pakistan

    People of the nation are in a deep sleep. I would plead with the member Haris Khan to ignore the sleepy nation especially the members of this forum and directly pettition the supreme court. Some one has to make the first move.
