..who shall be the new president?

    AND..

..who SHOULD be the new president?

Its pretty obvious his days are now numbered. Secret meetings in Dubai. PPP openly speaking against him. MQM suggesting him to leave. Nawaz league criticizing him. But who's next?

If you were to believe Nusrat Javed who is really close to Zardari, the names under consideration are Soomro, Asfandyar and Mumtaz Bhutto.

    I second Beenai!

"with no affiliations with any political party" is the key!

Save them until you see the real change, replacement of a person with another one doesn't change the king maker as well as policy makers.

President Obama is too high for our low level leaders, his 3rd level employee is enough!

  14. faryal talpur, rehman malik, shere rehman, jahangir badar, raja pervez ashraf, fozia wahab etc. etc. if zardari can be president why not one of these ??

  15. According to statistics it would be either fazlu or Altaf because we were having Musharraf (evil) and then Zardari (Big evil) and now its a turn for biggest evil and there are only two candidates who deserves this purely on merit...Fazlu diesel or Altaf london walay.

If zardari had been less greedy and more sensible, he would not have taken any government position and would have acted as a 'sonia gandhi'.

But greed has been a common trait of all PPP leaders since its inception and has always lead to their downfall.

  19. @ Adonis,
    This is a good point.
By staying out of any executive position he would have played more effective role as Leader of the PPP.
So far his performance is not so commendable.
I put the same proposal a few months before, to what I was told by the PPP Secretariat that some hidden hand wanted him to be at the position of President after Musharraf.

    Quote:
"4. By accepting the Position of President, not only you jeopardized the political future of your son Mr. Bilawal Zardari Bhutto but also incarcerated the growth of PPP’s vote bank.
    5. Would have been much better for you to stay in the background as an umpire just like Mr. Kamraj the President of Indian National Congress, who never accepted any administrative office but was respected as a king-maker and real force behind Jawahar Lal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Indira Gandhi."

  20. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    Muhammad (SAW) said;

Follow! the man who takes you towards the path of Islam, EVEN! if that man is a habshi (in urdu, a black man)

I follow Muhammad (SAW)'s saying. I will support that person who takes my country towards Islam's path.

I don't care who that man is, as long as he has the qualities that are prescribed in the 4 golden eras' mentioned by Muhammad (SAW).

I'd choose Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid.

Saeed-uz-zaman Siddiqui is also a good choice but he is too close to NS.

Bhagwan Daas would be my first choice if he had not taken PCO oath.

Since PPP is a political party, it has all the right to have its seasonal members such as Aftab Shabaan Meraani as president.

In all cases, 58-2b and other presidential powers should be curtailed.

We should adopt a democratic way to remove the president instead of secret meetings try to impeach him and let the parliament decide his replacement.

Exactly. Whoever wants to remove Zardari should impeach him in the parliament rather than meeting with Kiyani chori chupay.

  24. @bsobaid and Ziam ,
    one question:
was the President came in with a fair deal ????????
    NOP .
he came into the country through NRO .
he decided himself that he wanna be the President .
    USA decided so
and nobody asked the poor Awam ,that what they actually want?
i have met many of PPP voters ,who voted PPP ,but hate Zardari and does not wanna see his face even, rather having him as a President for 5 years .

so another replacement will obviously comes in from the same back door .

    so its the system .
u have to put the system in order .
before expecting a fair deal .
