ISLAMABAD: More than Rs10 million were raised on the call of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust, Imran Khan for the relief and rehabilitation of people suffering from the devastation unleashed by the worst floods in the country’s history.

At a fund raiser here on Saturday, philanthropists generously donated hundreds of thousands rupees for the flood victims. Children also participated actively by giving away their pocket money for Shaukat Khanum Hospital and flood-stricken masses.

In a short span of one hour a massive amount of Rs10 million was raised for Shaukat Khanum Hospital and Rs750,000 for the people suffering from the aftermath of worst ever deluge.

Some of philanthropists separately and anonymously donated Rs1 million to Rs1.5 million to help their fellow countrymen.

Easiest way to donate is by sending sms with "pukaar" written to 4361 from all pakistani mobile networks. Rs 10 would be donated from your balance.

Khan sb appeared on a live telethon geo and raised 67 million rupees.Khan sb has also announced that he will be talking a carvan of 500 TRUCKS! to PAKHTOON KHUWA next sunday... and then to southren punjab three days later then to SINDH a week later and to Balochistan three days after that.... (its 500 each for sindh,Balochistan,Pakhtoonkhuwa, punjab) which means 2000 TRUCKS...

  5. Each truck will cost 250,000. Please donate as much as possible for our people. 2000x250,000 =500000000 is needed for the first step. Next plan is to give materiel to build the houses which will need a huge amount which can't be done without Govt. but unfortunately Govt. does not exist in our country anymore.
May Allah reward all who have donated or contributed in for this great cause. Please donate wherever you like but Donate PLEASE.

  6. lets see ,how much they actually get psychically ?

as these are only pledges right now.
some people just do it for the sake of listening their name live with a huge amount ,to boost about in their circle .

as Talat Hussain and Kashif Abbasi has got many carores pledges on their Aaj Tv live Telethone ,August 14.

but very next few days ,Talat was telling about the fact that bigger amount pledgers are gone with the wind .

as he called some of them and they backed out their pledge .

    bohat aala Imran Khan Bhai...

im noticing that MQM supporters are neutral and broadminded enough to appreciate Imran Khan's "good" actions... the viceversa rarely happens.

  11. It is said that the government funding is not reaching to the people. Victims are only helped by general public.
I am not sure but here in my area, the person sitting in fund collection camp in government college told this.

Something your leader do good is appreicated. Please try to by a broad minded person to appreciate the good things done by your leader's political rival. Don't be a biased racist like your leader.

criticism of mqm is not racism in same way as criticism of Israel is not antisemitism.

but i agree with you one should also appreciate rival good work if they really do.

    @HF
I ma not against MQM simply because Imran spoke against him...I have seem MQM's terror myself. My opinion about MQM is not based on Imran Khan's assessment only.
Besides, how can I be a "biased racist" when I myself is of Mahajir background and was born in KHI.
I am broad minded that is why I think beyond ethnicities and care about Pakistanis overall.
You now need to evaluate what is good for our country, an ethno-terrorist organisation or a man who has always done good for this country even though he has never been in the government.
