NOWSHERA: Inaugurating construction work on a model village in Misalabad here on Friday, Imran Khan said the work on the mega project of building 100 model villages for the flood victims would be started soon.

Addressing a public rally on the occasion, he said the model villages had been planned purely on humanitarian basis and had nothing to do with politics. Imran Khan said his ‘Pukaar’, in collaboration with the Mir Khalilur Rehman Foundation (MKRF), had collected donations amounting to Rs1.3 billion for the rehabilitation of the victims so far. “The campaign is continuing and we hope more funds would be collected for the rehabilitation of the victims,” he said.

Imran Khan said about 100 model villages comprising 500 houses each would be constructed in the country, adding that the beneficiaries would be selected through a draw. He said a model village would have schools for boys and girls and a hospital besides other facilities including proper sewerage system.

He said each model village would have proper infrastructure and facilities. Risalpur Industrial State President Ashfaq Paracha and Muslim Trust representative Mian Zahoor Kakakhel also spoke on the occasion.

are there any plans avaliable for the model village eg floor plans, number of schools, type of buildings etc etc?

Why wait till 2012, choosy? I'd say 2011 already. He's the only Mr Clean Hands we've got around. He's got to be given his chance to mend our breakages.

I feel no shame in saying that Imran has changed my views about him in recent times. I almost opposed the guy because of his affiliation with Qazi/Diesel in recent years. But I think Imran has matured greatly and its about time he gets his chance. Go Imran!

Imran Khan is become a "dangeorus man" for US/US backed "Northern Alliance" (Zardari & Co, MQM, "Libral" and "Secularist"), India and elite political families who are looting this country since long time, but the most dangeorus enemy of Imran Khan is US supported "Northern Alliance" which desperately want more US bombardment inside Pakistan boundries.
