    Ex-PTI general secretary joins PPP
    Staff Report

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) former general secretary Asif Khan on Friday announced his inclusion in the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), in a meeting with Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer, held at the Governor’s House.

Asif said he had reservations over the policies of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, which support the Taliban. Imran favours terrorists and does not respect humanity, he said. He said Imran gives pungent remarks about the US but is entirely different when he goes abroad.

Asif, who was also the former president of the PTI Punjab, said the policy of the PPP is in the interest of the country and its people. “The passage of the 18th Amendment and the NFC Award are the greatest achievement of the PPP. Considering the policies of the PPP, I prefer to join it rather than be a part of the PTI,” he said.

Taseer welcomed Asif and said he hoped that “he will play a vital role in the betterment of the party”. The PPP needs an experienced worker like him, Taseer added.

Any person or party supporting the terrorists are as condemnable as the terrorists themselves.

What you failed to mention is he was first FIRED from PTI
Maybe a PTI fella can enlighten us as to why.

Asif Khan showing his true colours: says Ahsan Rashid
"While in PTI, Asif Khan decleared PPP and Asif Zardari the most corrupt ruler of all time. However, Now he has become the part of same family by joining PPP."

There is no doubt that every political organization has its own terrorist and criminal wings.

@swali, are you suggesting that he (Asif Khan) is an honest person who cares about the country ? Is that the reason why he joined PPP under Asif Zardari's leadership ?

  8. @salaudin, i am not suggesting any thing but there are serious allegations about Imran Khan that he supports Taliban who are terrorist. He is not willing to condemn them, why???

  9. Good point swali
Now let us see some solid evidence backing what you say as above:

serious allegations about Imran Khan that he supports Taliban

I am no fan for any political figure/party still I would love to see these allegations being backed up with credible evidence.

  10. These are serious allegations and Imran Khan is silent and Imran's silence is creating doubts. We all know Imran has pro Taliban views and soft corner for Talibans and if according to an ex office bearer of PTI that Imran Khan is involved in supporting talibans directly then there should be a full investigation by the Police. Imran Khan must be interrogated by the Police to find out the truth.

Imran opposed Army action in Swat where Taliban terrorist were running a parallel Govt. Whole nation supported army action and especially people of Swat took sigh of relief when army ended Taliban’s reign of terror. In view of Imran’s support for Taliban mafia, these allegations have weight and warrant a full Police investigation against Imran Khan and PTI. If these allegations are untrue then Imran Khan should be exonerated otherwise if these allegations are true then Imran Khan and PTI should be treated as enemy of the State and treason charges should be levelled against them.

So the reason he left PTI is because he believes that IK was wrong when he was willing to hold talks with the Taliban but he has no problem with it if Asif Zardari does it ???

    @swali
    - Afghan Taliban have every right to defend their country from foreign invaders (i.e. against NATO and US forces ). It is in accordance with the UN charter, Christianity's "just war" theory and Islam's concept of Jihad. If IK supports Afghan Taliban, he is not wrong. If Asif Khan has a problem with it, may Allah help him.
    - Imran Khan never supported TTP. Being against a military operation, which was more like a mini Normandy invasion, in our own territory does not mean that he supports TTP. Our combat strategy could have been much better ! Lets say in the city of Karachi, there are 10,000 murderers. Would you propose nuking the whole city ? It would surely get rid of those 10,000 murderers. But is it really an effective way to eliminate murderers ? He was against the strategy.
And just to add, he has always condemned terrorism.

    @ salaudin
Sir - The guys here dont need logics, 3 - 4 guys are assigned here with the responsibility of defaming IK / PTI by one or another allegation.

  14. Tell me a single instance where Imran condemned Taliban. The whole nation takes them as a threat wherein he finds excuses and logic to substantiate that they are right.

Zardari was embarassed by a fellow Pakistani in UK
PML N rigged election in LHR

You must be from a faimly where everyone is either corrupt or terrorist who abuse Pakistan everyday and loot, plunder inncents everyday.
