We should demand for a special prosecutor to investigate and prosecute cases under NRO.We need a person with integrity like Aiteza Ahsan.Otherwise this is going to be another joke with our nation.
I do not expect any justice from current administration.
Who do you think should be AG or special prosecutor?

We should demand for a special prosecutor to investigate and prosecute ALL Cases (both under and over NRO). Beside if mere accusations are enough reason for some one to resign from holding a public office, then this should be demanded from Shahbaz Sharif and co along with MQM leaders (Farooq Sattar, Babar ghori, etc) also.

I think Aitzaz Ahsan or Fakhrudin G. Ibrahim is the right person for the job.

Of course, they are innocent till proven guilty.I am not asking for any resignations just an independent prosecutor who is trusted by majority of the people.NRO cases would be a good start to curb corruption and a test for our justice system.

We have lot of fair minded people in our society,if given a chance they can put us back on track.Chief Justice can only decide on the evidence presented to him.Prosecutor must be beyond partisanship.

Who will ask NS or SS? do you want to tell me that Zardari or Gillani will question them. Never my dear, to question someone else you have to prove yourself clean. A dacoit could not investigate other dacoit.

The people of Pakistan do not want investigation only from PPP but they want this accountability across the board and crystal clear but the question is very valid that who will do this??? well i do not trust Aitezaz completely but Fakhurdin-G. Ibrahim, Bhagwan das, Saeed-uz-Zaman siddique are few examples who could be trusted.

I am saying that let the democratic process continue, the big wigs like Zardari, chowdhry and Shareefs will be "Systematically" weakned and eventually filtered out. If you are wishing that the fate of Pakistan will be changed Overnight then you are mistaking bro!

For the first time this nation is experiencing that government is bowing down on the public pressure.

    1. PPP was forced to restore Judges
    2. It was forced to lift Governor rule
    3. PPP was forced to back track on NRO
    4. PPP was forced to explain KL Bill - Though I think it was the first unconditional help from USA to the public of Pakistan.

Previously (not very far jst in Musharaf's time), he accepted american add with a document which wrote Azad Kashmir as "Pakistan occupied Kashmir"! But you didn't hear any fuss about that!

    This is how democracies work!

  8. So this is also a democratic right to ask for a neutral investigation. We are not asking to Govt. to step down, we are only demanding free and fair trial and thats all. Its a democratic right, whats wrong in that.

I know Govt. is reluctant on that but if we all will put pressure in a democratic way, Govt. will again buckle in front of us. This is all, why it is impossible.

In the current scenario it is not unfair to demand for a neutral commission for NRO and all other corruption cases. In my humble opinion, an independent judicial commission should be set up to impartially investigate all cases of corruption weather waived under NRO or still in courts. Then every alleged person should be trialed and given fair chance to clarify. Consequently whoever becomes guilty, must be hanged on public place and this should be telecasted live to set example for others.

There is obvious conflict of interest. The current administeration can't fairly prosecute its own members. The only way out is to have an independent prosecutor.
It is not fair to ask Zardari to step down.We must follow the law and either try to impeach him or have an independent prosecutor prove the cases against him in a court of law.
I believe we have an independent CJ,we need a special prosecutor who is not influenced by the administeration.

Agreed with your idea 100%. A special prosecutor to investigate and who cannot be influenced is a solution to this.
Current administration is corrupt. Nothing positive could be expected from them.
But a question. Aitzaz Ahsan can or cannot be influenced? He is a PPP guy and had a meeting with Zardari a short while ago!

Aitezaz Ahsan played an important role in the struggle for restoration of judiciary. He did not tow the party line.I do trust his judgment but it does not mean he is the only one out there anybody acceptable to the majority will do.
He may be the only one acceptable to PPP and PMLN.
Any other suggestions acceptable to the majprity are most welcome.
