if we want to compete with india, we would have to revive our economy. India's economy is booming at 8-9%, whereas our growth is back to 2%-3%...Our GDP per capita was multiple times bigger than india's and now India has surpassed us. In modern world, economy is everything, economy is more important than military for winning war. Look at what happened to Soviet russia, even though it has multiple times more nuclear weapons than any other country

@raheb: STOP! criticizing me just for the sake of criticizing me, for satisfaction of your ego. STOP! focusing on me. Start participating on this thread constructively.
My views are that;
(1) the people ruling over Pakistan are traitors, other than being criminals, looters/plunderers of state wealth, murderers, destroyers of future of at least 2-3 generations of Pakistani people. In-fact they are bent on destroying the future of the current generation of Pakistani people as well as the future of coming generations of Pakistani people also.
The people running Govt. are not;
(1) governing
(2) acting
(3) delivering
They are committing treason by not implementing the law of the land. They have in-fact stopped ALL progress of this nation because they have cases against them in the court of law, that will end their life of crime, INSHALLAH.
(2) The Army personnel who are fighting with our own people, are earning/getting money for it from foreign powers, they are ALL traitors. People of FATA, NWFP are not traitors. Those people, who are consistently being called Kharjis', they are not traitors.
People in Army are killing people of this nation, like a bought up Army. They are committing treason with this nation by forcefully hoarding that which is not theirs to have.
The ones;
(a) sitting in Govt. threaten the entire nation to break Pakistan
(b) sitting in Army quarters are practically on the path of genocide of the most loyal of Muslims, for the benefit of non-Muslims
These people in Army are infested with endless lust of 'zan, zar, zameen'.
My thoughts are, that these are very very dangerous times.
P.S. The people who have voluntarily, successfully guarded Pak - Afghan border for around 50 years, without even a trace of;
(1) injustice
(2) instability
(3) disturbance to Pakistan
(4) disturbance to Pakistani people
they are loyal Pakistanis', loyal Muslims. They honour their pact with Mr. Jinnah to-date. They! are being killed by Pak Army for the benefit of non-Muslims.
These people have crippled, have destroyed 2 super powers. What makes you think they can't destroy Pakistan as well ? Even after being shot at by their own Army, it is only their goodwill, their love for unity, because of which, they don't want to destroy Pakistan, that is why they haven't called for separation from Pakistan. They are only defending themselves from oppression of Pak Army.

1) Do u believe & accept Constituion of Pakistan ? No sir , u don't . U have declared that u accept only that part of constituion which is in line with your beliefs . So , whats your moral / legal position to criticize others that others are not implementing consitiion/ law of land.
2) Millions of people of Pakistan have given their mandate to rulers . By accusing them , u r infact accusing the people of pakistan. Parties/persons , who are rejected by masses, always make such baseless allegations.
3) Can u please telll that what ARABS , AFGHANS , CHECHNS,UZBIKS are doing in FATA / NWFP ?
U have strange standards. When army action takes place in bengal , balochistan or khi against the legitimate citizens of pakistan , u hail that and when army action is taken against the foriegns who are illegally residing in pakistan , u condemn that.
I ask u , whom u r loyal to ? Pakistan or foriegners ? Speak of yourself and then criticize others.
Since when u have become an authority to declare anybody a "loyal muslim" ?

India is active because smart and educated people are in Indian govt but in Pakistan King Zaradari visit his friends with over hunderd vhichles protocol including black water body gurad's same as Hamid Karzai's style, result is 0.

Elections are clearly manipulated. That means, those people have ZERO support. ALL votes are manufactured.
So, we are back to square one.
(3) I believe, they are Mujahideen
They are like a bee hive. They don't pose a threat to Pakistan, its people, so long as Pakistan and its people do not resort to injustice with them, so long as Pakistan does not move to violently torment this hive.
If it does for the benefit of non-Muslims, well then, Pakistan doesn't have any right to complain, now does it ?
Its just like people of FATA. People of Afghanistan + FATA defeated Russians, now USA/Nato. But they did not act against Russians or USA/Nato untill they started injustice.
People of FATA have secured Pakistan's western border, with Afghanistan for nearly 50 years, without any need instability, insurgency, or any other problem. Now, we have around 100,000+ Pakistani Army personnel there and they can't control that border.
(4) I don't know what went on in Bengal. So I will avoid commenting on it.
The people who Army beat in Karachi, they got beaten on orders of PPP/PML-N. The people in Karachi who were beaten fully! deserved it. They were envolved in mass scale crimes against people of Karachi.
There's nothing wrong about it. Its pure rule of jungle. If you don't adhere to any law, and you get beaten, you have no right to complain. For you yourself proposed the rule of jungle to prevail in the first place.
(5) You are full of BS!. I never said anything like that. Pakistani people do not need to bow down to anyone. What they need to do is to stop propagating injustice. Taking money from foreign powers to murder its own people is hardly the forte of Army of Muslims. They need to learn to be loyal to ALLAH ALMIGHTY, to be loyal to other Muslims.
You are the one who has strange standards, since you conform to no code of conduct, no laws.

Haris khan! you are NOT at ALL important for me. Critical examining what you are sending on forum DO NOT mean criticizing you. While you send something on forum so you should keep in mind that you invite people to have a view on it, and if I as usual critically examen it then why you take it personally. If you don't like it then don't send anything.
I do not know you or anyone else personally on this forum, then HOW can I be against someone personally?
It should be a routine that when ever anyone send something so it is NOT good enough as long as One don't have anything to comment on it. WHY you want to send just what you send here ? There must be some intention behind it?

I must agree with one post that WHY should we always compare us with India??? It is absolutly no need of this comparison.
If I compare myself with someone who is longer than me then I am small/short and feel bad. But if I compare myself with a shorter person then I am long and feel good.
So why not to compare Pakistan with Bhutan, Nepal or Gambia, Benin.... if we have to compare us with someone.
Such comparisons are often very superficial and have NO scientific value.

It is noticed that some people constantly have attacking attitude, towards army, Pakistan in general and recently even its HEROS, Iqbal and Jinnah. At the time of crisis and country with problems, what a nation and people needed and what these persons are coming with??? So time selection disclose probably some latent bad intentions? ARE they really Pakistanis, Muslims, loyal or what????
I have to repeat that DO difference between critical examinations and criticizing.

@ hariskhan, not sure which part you didn't understand, shell I translate it for you in urdu/hindi??? Dawn is anti Pakistani and pro Indian news organisation expected to malign Pakistan. By the way who decided that Pakistan is 'not' ready. Did someone bother to ask the army/government officials??? These kind of tactics are used just to break the will of people!!!

Suffocating Pakistan depriving it of its right to river waters.
Interfering into internal affairs of Pakistan like Baluchistan attempting to foment trouble and dismembering.
Actively using its media - film, print and electronic to defame Pakistan at an international level.
Pakistan should be active openly and counter all Indian moves that are detrimental to Pakistan's existence and its image.
