Did influential people deliberately destroy dams to save their land/homes?
I heard that, but don't know if it's true. I heard something like khurshid shah did something similar in Sindh, and somehow that also became the reason for MQM's stand to support army, and also that Maulana Fazlur Rehman did something similar in KP.

It has already been extensively discussed in following topics. MQM isn't sincere to sindhis or concerned about their plight,they are just a bunch of selfish hypocrites ,they might have been upset after Sindh govt announced to postpone Local body polls indefinitely. MQM unit terrorists are being booked in many murders cases that have been carried out in recent days. Plus they have a habit of back stabbing their coalition partners either by resorting to terrorism or through other means by blackmailing them,so basically its their hallmark to act like that no one should be surprised.
