Javed Hashmi sold himself to PTI for RS 5 Million - Captain Safdar

    PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Captain (retd) Safdar has accused Javed Hashmi of having sold himself to PTI Chief Imran Khan for five million rupees.
    “If he had mentioned this before, we could have collected Rs10 million for him in alms from Peshawar alone,” Safdar, who is the president of PML-N’s youth wing and the son-in-law of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, told a gathering in Danishabad, Peshawar, on Monday.
    Hashmi, a long-time PML-N loyalist, defected to the PTI last week boosting that party’s line-up for the 2013 elections. Addressing the December 25 rally in Karachi, Hashmi said that he missed his old party but believed in the potential of PTI and hence joined it.
    “Hashmi’s withdrawal from the party would have been a loss if he were capable of winning his seat again,” Safdar said. “PML-N workers did not shed tears at his departure but at his disloyalty.”
    Countering Hashmi’s claim that PTI was the harbinger of change in Pakistan, he said that it was in fact Nawaz who had transformed Pakistan by making it into a nuclear power.
    The gathering was also attended by Pir Sabir Shah, PML-N’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa president, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Fareed Toofan and other prominent members of the party.

    So what's with the Captain in Captain Safdar? Are we suppose to respect and love him for the title captain in his name?

    Captain Safdar has proved beyond all doubt that when shite hits the fan he will definitely be one of the lucky few from PML (A to z) standing under the fan. He might not even be wearing his Captain's hat so you can imagine the scene. I only wish he is better at being a politician than he is at lying.

    To take him seriously, you would have to bring the dodo bird back to life.

    Take a hint from Captain Safdar; his price is Rs 10 million. If you ask me, way over priced, I would leave him on the shelf along with other dinosaurs.

    Does this allegation mean that those are still with PML (N) are not up for sale or have been bought off by PML(N) or have a price that PTI cannot pay.

    Don't know about Rs 10 Mill but breaking point may have been upcoming election on NA seat vacated by Mr. Qureshi. Najam Sethi said today that Hashmi wanted his son-in-law to be given a ticket but Nawaz Sharif did not reply in positive. He is probably thinking of not putting up a candidate to oblige PM Gilani so that his son, Musa Gilani, can get elected.

    It all boils down to the fact that Hashmi left PMLN on personal rather than any ideological issues.

    PPP is on its way out anyway. From PMLN perspective, PTI should me made to earn its place at this time.

    From another angle, PTI is also helping PPP by harping on PMLN. So, if they get a taste of their own medicine, it should be just reasonable.

    I did not make any suggestions. I was simply trying to explain what ifs!

    On the same token, seat adjustment is a possibility. This is again a conjecture. I have no knowledge.

    This is an open secret and I applaud all other parties to not expose it especially PTI and PPP whose leadership faced the worst of personal attacks and slander by Noon League.

    As far as comments of Captain Safdar and certain PMLN touts on this website are concerned, ignoring them is the best way to deal with them because more you kick the dirt, dirtier you get.

    اس لیے میں اسے مخاطب کرنے کی بجائے اسکے مالکوں کو مخاطب کیا تھا اور کہا تھا کہ اگر اب بھی نہیں سمجھو گے تو تمہاری سیاسی زندگی کا خاتمہ دور کی بات نہیں

    مجھے یاد پڑتا ہے کسی پروگرام میں یہ کیپٹن صفدر بڑھ بڑھ کر شیخ رشید سے الجھنے کی کوشش کرتا تھا تو شیخ رشید نے اسے کہا تھا کہ میں نواز شریف فیملی کی وجہ سے تمہاری عزت کرتا تھا اس لیے تمھاری کسی بات کا جواب نہیں دے رہا ہوں. لیکن اسکو پھر بھی حیا نہیں آئی تھی اور مسلسل بکواس کیے جا رہا تھا. میں شیخ رشید کو سخت نہ پسند کرتا ہوں لیکن اس نے جس طرح رشتوں کا احترام ملحوض خاطر رکھا اس نے مجھے متاثر کیا

    Though I believe Javed Hashmi should have stayed in the party, but Captain Safdar is a complete idiot and what he has said is utter non-sense. PML-N has been damaged the most by the relatives of Nawaz Sharif, including Capt. Safdar, Ishaq dar and Hamza Shahbaz.

    The time has come for Nawaz Sharif to publicly pledge that except for Shahbaz Sharif, no other member of his family will be given a party post or party ticket in elections. If he continues to ignore the shenanigans of his idiotic relatives, then the workers of the party will be forced to change the leadership and install someone else who is not handicapped by the baggage of this "family trash" and is better suited to counter establishment lackeys like Imran Khan.
