Men are superior to Women?

(92 posts)
  1. Those who have watched "My big fat Greek wedding", I would like to quote Maria Portokalos where she explains the role of a woman in house as

"The men may be the head of the house but the women are the neck and they can turn the head anyway they want."

I believe that's pretty much the case in Pakistan, not sure about others but in Pakhtoon this is mostly the case. :)

I am not sure about the Pakistani Laws in regards to polygmy. However, in terms of Islamic rulings, men do not need permission from the first wife. Nowhere in the Quran has Allah ordered such a thing.

I do certainly agree that men and women ARE different and thus play different roles in any society.

Look this is problem of Society. Because we are living in westren Culture, That's why u are saying "is man world". In Islamic society u can see the example of hazrat Ayesha (r.a) even some high rank sahaba cam to learn from her.

Allah make both women and men in beautiful manner, In the eyes of Allah he/she is best who is righteous.

But immposed westren values have destroyed the real values of islam. That's why neither the women are happy nor the men.

    @super soldier ,
    very true .
actually ours is a very double standard society ,unfortunately ...
we have taken different rules ,both from Islam and western culture , as per our convenience .

4 marriages are restrictively followed , enthusiastically advocated by them, from the rules of Islam .

but they are not willing to give due respect and due rights as per the Islamic laws to the woman .

expecting a woman to work equally like a male employee is western rule , which has been followed .

but vacating a seat for a standing lady , which is a western norm ....has been ignored completely ....

laws has been picked and choose by their own convenience .

nor Islamic neither western laws allows Sexual Harassment .
but they practice it all the time ...
    why ?

Women freedom and liberation was promoted by the blood sucking capitalist who could not stomach that half the population is not taxed. If anyone have any doubts that women freedon and liberation is nothing to do with the economice then thhey need to have their head examined. Capitalist used and hid their motives under the guise of equality, freedom, women's emancipation, equal rights, equal pay, liberty etc. But scratch the surface and you will find that all the facade was to collect taxes from half the population and force them to work. What it has led to, the total destruction of soceity, and women are more un-equal and more miserable.
The difference is that in the west, the male population and media and other outlet use comedy to abuse (yes abuse)women and streo type them. Because no one wants to be politically incorrect so they use comedy to vent their contempt and riducule of the women.
If you really think about it whi is one who has invented all the derogatory idioms and phrases about women, who has come with all the funny and rude sketches about women which are circulating on the web, who is the one who has drawn the contemptous pictures of women brain. Who is one who has written the book men are from mars and women are from venus. None of the is done by the muslims but the western, so much for the equality of the genders and sexes.

So before you seculars and blind followers of western decadant rotten idealogy and thought process pass a judgement about Islam's view about men and women, think and think hard that who is the cause of all the ills related to mayhem caused by promoting so called EQUALITY.

On that note I rest my case my lord

nor Islamic neither western laws allows Sexual Harassment .
but they practice it all the time ...
    why ?

Beenai I differ here, The western culture not only allows it but their own man made book bible support it, That's why u can see Women in the west a accepting Islam.

We all know why such things happen. It is the dual life style and character of these people, which makes them indulge in such behaviour. They have invented their own standards of morality, freedom and values of life. .

One must realise that it is during young age when the body is physically at its best. The desire for opposite sex is also maximum. It is proven in science that anxiety or over work reduces this urge. The ProphetB.A.P.U.H did not have the urge for another woman while married to KhadijahR.A for 25 years. Multiple marriages contracted during the period when he was old and under immense pressure with stress of wars, siege of Medina and religious duties could not be to fulfil his worldly desire? He is known to have kept himself awake in prayers night after night until Allah Subhan directed him (Surah Muzzamil) that he must take rest during the night. How could he have time to spare for human desire?

    1.

    O thou folded

    In garments

    2.

    Stand (to prayers) by night,

    But not all night,

    3.

    Half of it,

    Or a little less,

    4.

    Or a little more;

    And recite the Qur-an

    In slow, measured rhythmic tones.

You ask what a woman's role in an office is.

Look we are no longer living in the stone age where men had to rely on their greater physical strength to ensure a successful hunt. Today's world is corporate and as a person working in this environment i can tell you that men and women BOTH have something to offer that the other does not.

In an office with a tangible female presence there is a better communication, better structure, better manners, better hygiene and a more supportive environment than in an all-male work environment. In my experiences any office where women are outnumbered or reduced to "decorative" positions like receptionist or secretary, the work environment is less effective, less structured and more liable to serious upheaval.

The hunting grounds may have been the exclusive province of men, but the office is not. There is nothing in an office that a woman cannot do. In my experience women actually tend to be better managers because they have an intuitive grasp of the personal relationships that influence the working of an office. They have a unique and less combative style of leadership that creates more sustainable and more socially responsible corporations. This is because women have verifiable greater capacity for multi-tasking and conflict resolution. Both are characteristics that are sorely lacking in the corporate world of today.

After millenia of being excluded from the "man's world" because of their lack of physical strength, the office environment is one in which they are not at a disadvantage.

    And about time too.

Running an office btw is much more like running a home than anything else and it is something women are intuitively better at.

    Praise be to Allaah.

    Firstly:

This word – equality – which many thinkers in both the east and the west advocate in various fields of life is a word which is based on deviation and a lack of understanding, especially when the speaker attributes this idea of equality to the Qur’aan and to Islam.

One of the things that people misunderstand is when they say that “Islam is the religion of equality”. What they should say is that Islam is the religion of justice.

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

“Here we should note that there are some people who speak of equality instead of justice, and this is a mistake. We should not say equality, because equality implies no differentiation between the two. Because of this unjust call for equality, they started to ask, what is the difference between male and female?’ So they made males and females the same, and then the communists said, ‘What difference is there between ruler and subject? No one has any authority over anyone else, not even fathers and sons; the father has no authority over his son,’ and so on.

But if we say justice, which means giving each one that to which he or she is entitled, this misunderstanding no longer applies, and the word used is correct. Hence it does not say in the Qur’aan that Allaah enjoins equality, rather it says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, Allaah enjoins Al‑‘Adl (i.e. justice)”

    [al-Nahl 16:90]

“and that when you judge between men, you judge with justice”

    [al-Nisa’ 4:58]

Those who say that Islam is the religion of equality are lying against Islam. Rather Islam is the religion of justice which means treating equally those who are equal and differentiating between those who are different.

No one who knows the religion of Islam would say that it is the religion of equality. Rather what shows you that this principle is false is the fact that most of what is mentioned in the Qur’aan denies equality, as in the following verses:

‘Say: Are those who know equal to those who know not?”

    [al-Zumar 39:9]

‘Say: Is the blind equal to the one who sees? Or darkness equal to light?’

    [al-Ra’d 13:16]

‘Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah, with those among you who did so later’

    [al-Hadeed 57:10]

‘Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home), except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame), and those who strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allaah with their wealth and their live’

    [al-Nisa’ 4:95]

Not one single letter in the Qur’aan enjoins equality, rather it enjoins justice. You will also find that the word justice is acceptable to people, for I feel that if I am better than this man in terms of knowledge, or wealth, or piety, or in doing good, I would not like for him to be equal to me.

Every man knows that he find it unacceptable if we say that the male is equal to the female.”

    Sharh al-‘Aqeedah al-Waasitah, 1/180-181

Based on this, Islam does not regard men and women as equal in matters where regarding them as equal would result in injustice to one of them, because equality that is inappropriate is a severe form of injustice.

The Qur’aan commands women to wear clothes that are different from those worn by men, because of the differences in the ways each sex is tempted by the other. The temptation posed by men is less than the temptation posed by women, so the clothes that women should wear are different than the clothes that men wear. It makes no sense to tell women to expose the parts of the body that men are allowed to expose, because of the differences in the temptation posed by a woman’s body and a man’s body – as we shall explain.

    Secondly:

There are matters in which men and women are treated differently in Islamic sharee’ah, such as:

1 – Qiwaamah (being in charge of the household)

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means”

    [al-Nisa’ 4:34]

Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

“Allaah says ‘Men are the protectors and maintainers of women’ meaning that the man is in charge of the woman, i.e., he is the leader and head of the household, the one who disciplines her if she goes astray.

‘because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other’ i.e., because men are superior to women and are better than women. Hence Prophethood was given only to men, as was the position of khaleefah, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘No people shall ever prosper who appoint a woman as their ruler.’ This was narrated by al-Bukhaari from the hadeeth of ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Abi Bakrah from his father. The same applies to the position of qaadi (judge), etc.

‘and because they spend (to support them) from their means’ refers to the mahr and the spending on women’s maintenance that Allaah has enjoined upon men in His Book and in the Sunnah of His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). So a man is inherently better than a woman, and he is superior to her because he spends on her. So it is appropriate that he should be in charge of her, as Allaah says, ‘but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them’ [al-Baqarah 2:228].

‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah said, narrating from Ibn ‘Abbaas: ‘Men are the protectors and maintainers of women’ means that men are the leaders of women and they should obey them in areas where Allaah has enjoined obedience. Obedience may mean treating his family kindly and protecting his wealth.”

    (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 1/490)

2 – Testimony or bearing witness. The Qur’aan states that the testimony of one man is equivalent to the testimony of two women.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (two women) errs, the other can remind her”

    [al-Baqarah 2:282]

    Ibn Katheer said:

Two women are to take the place of one man because women are lacking in reason, as Muslim narrated in his Saheeh… from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “O women, give in charity and seek forgiveness a great deal, for I have seen that you form the majority of the people of Hell.” A wise woman among them said, “Why is it, O Messenger of Allaah, that we are the majority of the people of Hell?” He said, “Because you curse too much, and you are ungrateful to your spouses. I have seen none lacking in common sense and failing in religion but (at the same time) robbing the wisdom of the wise, besides you.” The woman asked: “O Messenger of Allaah, what is wrong with our common sense and our religion?” He said: “Your lack of common sense (can be well judged from the fact) that the evidence of two women is equal to that of one man, that is a proof of the lack of common sense, and you spend some nights (and days) in which you do not offer prayer and in the month of Ramadan (during the days) you do not observe fast, that is a failing in religion.”

    (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 1/336)

There may be some women who are wiser than some men, but this is not the usual rule and such women are not in the majority. Sharee’ah is based on what is general and most common.

The fact that women are lacking in reason does not mean that they are crazy, rather their reason is often overtaken by their emotions, and this happens to women more often than it happens to men. No one would deny this except one who is arrogant.

3 – A woman inherits half of what a man inherits.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Allaah commands you as regards your children’s (inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females”

    [al-Nisa’ 4:11]

    Al-Qurtubi said:

Because Allaah knows better than they do what is in their best interests, He made the division of inheritance based on differentiation, because He knows what is in their best interests.

    Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 5/164

For example, a man is obliged to spend more than a woman, so it is appropriate that he should have a larger share of inheritance than a woman.

    4 – Clothing:

A woman’s ‘awrah includes her entire body. The least that can be said is that she should not uncover anything except her face and hands, and it was said that she should not even uncover that.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful”

    [al-Ahzaab 33:59]

The ‘awrah of a man is the area from the navel to the knees.

It was said to ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Ja’far ibn Abi Taalib, “Tell us what you heard from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and what you saw of him, and do not tell us about anyone else, even if he was trustworthy.” He said, “I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say, ‘The area between the navel and the knee is ‘awrah.’”

Narrated by al-Haakim in al-Mustadrak (6418); classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 5583.

Other examples include the following, which is not a comprehensive list.

There are other differences between the sexes, including the following:

    · A man can marry four women, but a woman can only have one husband.

    · A man has the right to issue a divorce and it is valid if he does so, but a woman does not have the right to issue a divorce.

    · A man may marry a woman from among the People of the Book (Jews and Christians), but a Muslim woman may not marry anyone but a Muslim.

    · A man may travel without his wife or any of his mahrams, but a woman may not travel unless she is accompanied by a mahram.

    · Prayer in the mosque is obligatory for men, but not for women; a woman’s prayer in her house is more beloved to Allaah.

    · A woman may wear silk and gold, but a man must not wear them.

Everything that we have mentioned is based on the difference between men and women, because the male is not like the female. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And the male is not like the female”

    [Aal ‘Imraan 3:36]

The male is different from the female in many ways, in his strength, in his body, in his toughness and roughness, whereas women are soft and gentle.

And men are different in intellectual terms, for men are known for their strength of understanding and their memory as compared to women. Women are weaker than men in memory and forget more than men do. This is well known, for most of the reputable scholars in the world are men. There are some women who are more intelligent and have better memories than some men, but this does not cancel out the general rule. Most cases are as we have described above.

With regard to emotions, men speak of them when they get angry or when they are happy, but women are affected by the slightest emotional effects, so their tears flow at the slightest emotional provocation.

Jihad is obligatory for men, but jihad in the sense of fighting is not obligatory for women. This is the mercy of Allaah towards them, and consideration for their nature.

In conclusion we may say that the rulings for men are not like the rulings for women.

    Thirdly:

Islam regards men and women as equally obliged with regard to many acts of worship and interactions with others. For example, women do wudoo’ just as men do, they do ghusl as men do, they pray as men do, and they fast as men do, except when they are menstruating or bleeding following childbirth. Women pay zakaah as men pay zakaah, and they do Hajj as men do, except for a few differences in the rulings. It is permissible and acceptable to buy from a woman, and if a woman gives charity, that is permissible. It is permissible for a woman to set free the slaves that she owns, and there are many other similar cases because women are the twin halves of men, as it says in the hadeeth:

It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked about a man who finds some wetness (on his clothes) but did not have an erotic dream, and he said, “He should do ghusl.” He was asked about a man who had an erotic dream but did not find any wetness, and he said, “He does not have to do ghusl.” Umm Salamah said, “O Messenger of Allaah, if a woman sees that, does she have to do ghusl?” He said, “Yes, for women are the twin halves of men.”

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 113; Ahmad, 25663. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 98)

    Conclusion:

Women are like men in some aspects and they differ from them in others. Most of the rulings of Islam apply to men and women equally. In cases where a distinction is made between the sexes, the Muslim regards that as a mercy from Allaah and a sign of His knowledge of His creation, but the arrogant kaafir sees it as oppression and injustice, so he stubbornly insists on claiming that men and women are the same. So let him tell us how a man can carry a foetus and breastfeed it? He stubbornly ignores the weakness of women and how they bleed during their monthly period, and he stubbornly beat his head against the rock of reality. But the Muslim is still at peace with his faith, surrendering to the command of Allaah.

“Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves), All‑Aware (of everything

    nota-

thanks for reminding me as I was going to make this after I came back.

There are some here who claim and have the temerity to say that pregnancy and childbirth are somehow a great honor for women.

These people have obviously are not aware of what pregnancy is and what childbirth is.

    Being nauseated all the time.
Stomach pains off and on for 9 months due to contractions.
Carrying an extra 45-50 lbs in your belly and still being expected to cook and clean and collect firewood

And every time a woman gets pregnant- she is putting her life on the line during child birth and there is NOTHING you can do that is good enough for her.
Instead of doing good you classify her as half human with half the rights- declare her with defective intelligence and treat her like your cattle- and as yet expect her to provide you with your sexual pleasures on DEMAND at any time!

And you have the audacity to not only defend such an entrenched inhumane system but say that there is nothing better.

Slavery was not outlawed for whatever reasons but how do you justify to support a system which treats your daughters, your sisters and your mothers 1/2 as human as yourself.

    Think about it.

I think it might be a good idea to look into maternal mortality in Pakistan and what the women have to go through- esp the poor ones who do not have access to epidurals or C-sections or such. I do not knoiw if you are in or from Karachi- but if your were and you could go the civil hospital Ob-Gyn unit and the labour room- you would at once think like me.
Yes you are correct that there is great joy in being able to give life....but nonetheless the problem remains.

Globally, more than 350,000 women die each year – 99 percent of them in developing countries – due to pregnancy and childbirth complications. An estimated 68,000 women die each year, and more than five million more suffer temporary or permanent disability, as a result of unsafe abortions. In some countries, as much as 25 percent of maternal deaths result from unsafe abortions.
According to the plan, less than half of pregnant women in the period 2004-2008 were attended to at least four times – the recommended minimum by the World Health Organsation (WHO) and the U.N. Children’s Fund (UNICEF) – during their pregnancy by skilled health personnel.

Moreover, only 61 percent of women in developing countries – and only 44 percent in sub-Saharan Africa and 42 percent in Southern Asia – delivered with the help of skilled birth attendants.

The number of women dying from pregnancy complications has dropped worldwide.

Sub-Saharan Africa is still the site of the highest maternal mortality rate, although the area has seen a 26% decrease in its rate. Statistics recently published in the report "Trends in Maternal Mortality," from the World Health Organization, cover the period between 1990 and 2008 and show that globally, the ratio fell by 34 percent, from 400 to 260 and the average yearly drop was 2.3%.

This is less than half the reduction needed to achieve the fifth Millennium Development Goal (MDG), which concerns maternal health. The improvement of healthcare for pregnant women has helped decrease the rate.

However, there are still 1,000 women across the world who die every day in childbirth. Data was collected in 172 countries, but only 63 provided complete information from civil registration systems and good attribution of causes of death for the estimates. Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia still account for 87% of maternal deaths worldwide.

Approximately two thirds are recorded in only 11 countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan, and Tanzania. Southeast Asia recorded a total rate of maternal mortality of 280 per 100,000 live births.

Since early August, floods across Northwest Pakistan have cast out nearly 21 million people from their homes and villages. UNFPA estimates that there are 500,000 pregnant women in this displaced population. Everyday approximately 1,700 of these women go into labor and over 250 suffer complications during birth.

    shimatoree,

You are talking about a society where woman is a mere baby making machine. This is more prevalent in the Arabia. I came to know of a woman who said she have always been pregnant, 10 years into marriage, I can't remember how many kids she had. The average was like 4 kids in 36 months. That is completely wrong, but don't forget in that poor society the man himself is oppressed by other fellow men, at work, every where.

Hqbajwa do u know what is extreme results of this. This is what is happening in West. Men and Female are mixed in offices and in every places, They destroyed the barriers Allah. Because they have abandoned the message of Allah. Now u can see westren women are accepting Islam. Why this is because they have seen the end of Result of Mixed society.A woman is not a sex object that she is turned out to be in the westren mixed society. She is not an object of lust for every stranger. Just look at how the west treats women. Porn industries are thriving, filthy DVDs are sold everywhere, magazines of semi-nude women decorate even grocery stores, filthy magazines are sold even in corner stores, strip clubs are in abundance, and I can go on and on.
The mixed westren society has left no stone unturned in shattering the dignity of a woman, and then they are ready to give lectures to others on how to treat women with dignity.

If a system is being made by man than it neglects the need of women as u seen today world, Many women says that

    man's world

. If system is made by women she will neglect the need of men, So for This purpose Allah sent his prophet to guide mankind. So we need a system based on quranic teaching which neither neglect the need of men or woman. One thing that Jews and Christians have yet to prove is the validity of the books and gospels of the Bible. The Bible is full of historical corruptions. Indeed, man-made cultural laws had entered the bible and turned it into a big lie. So the mixed society is also like a hollow tree.what is written in bible they are nothing but doubtful man-made hoax is indeed A CRIME AGAINST GOD AND HIS REVELATIONS. So as there is old saying

'All gliter is not gold' We are think that the west has gold but infact we have left the gold i.e the message of Islam.

I think you are very confused about the psyches of the women converting to Islam in the West. Even though these women convert to Islam and in most cases take to wearing the hijaab, they do not quit their jobs and careers, nor do they sequester themselves from society as a whole. In fact these women tend to wind up functioning as role models for muslim women of other ethnicities because they achieve a balance between their spiritual beliefs and the practicalities of this world. so please.

You are so eager to prove that western society shatters the dignity of women, but how so? It is in muslim countries like pakistan than a woman cannot walk down the street unmolested. In some countries even if she is covered from top to toe, she may still be publicly beaten for promisquity because some man decides she is dressed wrongly. In these countries women are not treated as anything more than the property of men who decide her every move. From what she wears, to what she does to who she marries, she has no choice or say in the matter. It is in these countries that a rape victim often risks her own life if she brings the crime against her to light. It is in these countries that a man can commit a crime against a woman and she has no recourse whatsoever unless she has a man to guard her interests.

Given the very real discrimination and oppression of women in ostensibly "muslim" societies i fail to see where you get off saying that western norms have robbed women of their dignity, when your basic assumption of their subservience and inferiority to men is TEN TIMES the attack on their dignity.

Do you really think that by considering women less than men you are giving them any of your so-called "dignity"??

I don't really know why the heck you bring up the bible in this discussion since the emancipation and equality of women has come about by breaking with church's patriarchal dogma. In this particular discussion you have a great ally in the church which also preaches that women are inferior.

You have a lot of nerve claiming to know what the needs of women are. Are you a woman? If no, then how about allowing WOMEN to decide what their needs are, what THEY term as a loss of dignity and what THEY decide is lawful and unlawful for them according to the Quran. Oh yeah i forget... you believe only MEN can interpret the Quran and thus women have to shut up and live according to what men tell them to.

You blame the west for "imposing" their male-dominated value system on women all the while as you yourself wish to do the same. What a staggering level of hypocrisy.

You completely failed to understand my point about women in the office as usual.

The Office is no longer a hunting ground where a man's physical strength gives him an advantage. Time and time again women succeed where men fail in the office. yet in spite of showing a fantastic aptitude for running an office they still have to battle the misogyny of people like you who refuse to acknowledge that times have changed, and in the future it will no longer be a "man's world".

The myth of the "man's world" is only alive thanks to men like you who oppose the emancipation of women at every step because you believe Islam tells us to imprison (sorry.. i forget you call it "protect") our mothers, sisters, daughters and wives.

I for one look forward to the full inclusion of women in our society's decision-making process. Hopefully it'll go a long way in wiping out some of the stupidity that afflicts the men of our culture.

Alright I don't know the psyche of women as i am a man,
Let see what the creator says.Let see the psyche of creator why he is saying this

    Surah 33:59

Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognized and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.

This is the ayat which is being violated in many mixed offices where women and men are working together. That's why society is going away and away. Now as we are living in non islamic society. so women are working in that offices don't have another option that's why they are working. This is the whole point, modesty is prescribed to protect women from molestation or simply, modesty is protection. Thus, the only purpose of the veil in Islam is protection. he Quran is so concerned with protecting women's bodies and women's reputation that a man who dares to falsely accuse a woman of unchastity will be severely punished:

"And those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations)- Flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after: for such men are wicked transgressors" (24:4)

But if Women don't want than what i can do. As u represent the thoughts of Women

You are so eager to prove that western society shatters the dignity of women, but how so? It is in muslim countries like pakistan than a woman cannot walk down the street unmolested. Can u please give me simple reason why i believe Pakistani's society as Islamic Society. I am not here to represent pakistani, I am here to represent Islam and there is no single state on the face of earth with establish Islam. Some of ur thoughts represents the westren mixed society that's why i telling u that west is nothing but Hoax.Islam should be viewed as a way of life that had immensely improved the status of women and had granted them many rights that the modern world has recognized only this century. Islam still has so much to offer today's woman: dignity, respect, and protection in all aspects and all stages of her life from birth until death in addition to the recognition, the balance, and means for the fulfilment of all her spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional needs. No wonder most of those who choose to become Muslims in a country like Britain are women. In the U.S. women converts to Islam outnumber male converts 4 to 1. 85 Islam has so much to offer our world which is in great need of moral guidance and leadership and u telling the situation of Non Islamic society like Pakistan. What a great logic by u

I don't really know why the heck you bring up the bible in this discussion since the emancipation and equality of women has come about by breaking with church's patriarchal dogma. In this particular discussion you have a great ally in the church which also preaches that women are inferior.

I bring the bible in the discussion because westren mixed society believe in Bible. See their movies, See every man with cross and Bible tells us that women is man's property

    1 Corinthians 11:3-12

Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved. If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head. A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. For this reason, and because of the angels the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head.

So we see that since the man is the glory of God and the woman is the glory of man then she has to wear the veil as a sign of authority. Her wearing the veil shows that she is subjected in authority to the man.

This is so called the base corrupt westren society. As their religion as corrupt so their society is corrupt.

See hqbajwa a their are true muslim women who believe in Quran. They are also seeing what the west is bringing in their lives. Women themselves want hijab. Quran is very Clear book, no one need to interpret it.
I can't think of any country that really treats Muslim women the way they are supposed to be treated as stipulated in the Quran and hadith. Most Muslim countries' approach to women falls between the two extremes of complete oppression and encouragement to behave like Western Judeo-Christian women, which is certainly not what Islam intended. Those who assess and judge this practice in the light of present day luxurious life style where excess of wealth, drinking and adulterous behaviour is common, forget that social advancement, sexual freedom and such rights of the women are the major factors which are forcing them into prostitution hardship and frustration. The poor or modern slaves and their spouses are more vulnerable to the great evil of adultery. Every day we hear accusations of sexual harassment by head of state, ministers and members of clergy, co-workers in factories and the public against women.

U are talking about offices the whole mixed westren world is showing that women is hunting groung of women.
