    ISLAMABAD: According to figures made available to DawnNews by senior Pakistani military officials, at least 30 thousand Pakistanis have lost their lives or were injured since 2003.

    More Pakistanis have lost their life in the ongoing war against terror compared to two full scale wars against India in 1965 and 1971.

    The casualties include death or injures to at least 22 thousand civilians and policemen in various acts of terror or suicide bombings.

    Pakistan’s military, which launched operations against the militants in the tribal areas, suffered at least 8 thousand casualties, including at least 23 hundred officers and soldiers who lost their lives.

    Senior military officials say at least six thousand soldiers and officers have been injured in the war against terror since 2003.

    Military officials say the number of casualties suffered by Pakistan is manifolds as compared to those suffered by the US and other international forces in Afghanistan.

    @ Haris

    If you are speaking of the injustice meted out by the FundoMental taliban and their ilk, then i agree.

    These deaths are not those caused by foreigners violating our sovereignty, but by our very own "devout muslims" killing their own.

    The casualties include death or injures to at least 22 thousand civilians and policemen in various acts of terror or suicide bombings. and the rest are army people.

    Damn the Taliban and fundo fanatics who justify their murders in the name of Islam.

    22000 civilians and policeman dead due to the Taliban terrorists activities, and the strange thing is some people still think we should negotiate with them. What a shame!
    Does these 22000 innocent Pakistanis deserve no justice. There should be no tolerance to the Taliban and other extremists present in the country. They should be hunted down.

  7. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    I believe you people have been confused by propaganda from Western media.

    The people killing others are local criminals hired by westerners, in order to malign the label and people called 'Taliban'.

    They have failed!

    It is very easy to buy local criminals when there is;

    (1) war going on in an area
    (2) no justice in an area
    (3) social, financial, political, judicial injustice by the state against its people of that area
    (4) When the people have been pushed against the wall because of all this injustice, which spans over decades
    (5) the Govt. as well as the Army of this state is also colluding with foreigners to kill, or injure its own people

    You should be ashamed of supporting Taliban Terrorists !
    Was Baituallah Mehsud an Indian ?
    Was Nek Mohammad a Jew ?
    How about Sufi Mohammad who's an ex-JI leader ?
    Is Muslim Khan a Christian ?
    What about those Al-Qaeda terrorists who were caught from houses owned by JI members ?

  11. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    @LalBichoo: The incentive for putting 'trust' in a man is his 'credibility'. You have none.

    Why should someone believe a person who neither believes in nor adheres to any;

    (1) code of conduct
    (2) laws

    ?

    P.S. I'm not issuing any fatwa. After looking at your contribution on this forum, I'm noting you in my thoughts, words.
