I was watching the recent talk shows in which Mqm guys were praising Punjab govt for allowing and facilitating Mqm jalsa on 10th April. As it was being predicted that punjab govt would refuse Mqm's request to hold jalsa after a abusive war between two parties few months ago. I think it is a good gesture by punjab govt to allow Mqm as rulling a province does not mean that it is your jageer. Now Mqm wants to do national level politics, which is admirable. But would they show the same tolerance with their opponents like Muhajir Qaumi Movement , ANP. There is no room for politics for these parties in all the constituencies won by them in Karachi / Hyderabad. Politics is a name of tolerance and listening criticism. In Punjab, Interior Sind or KPK, no body could threatened you if you uses abusive language against PML(N) / PPP/ ANP leaders. Does same rule apply in the areas control by MQM? Mqm need to answer these questions openly if they want to start the role of a national party.

MemberIf Mqm comes in the mainstream politics out of an ethnical party role and stop politics of killings, extortions, bhatta khore should be welcomed. But this changed politics should be visible to the nation. Now they are holding jalsa in punjab and giving the impression of a new Pakistan but on the other hand, daily common people and political opponents are being subject to the target killings.

MQM is the only party we support stood for us and proved itself time and again for causes dear to heart of Muhajir community. So to your question, will they allow? In Junejo government we had a representative from Muslim League. Well, none of these were never stopped from political activities in Karachi.
Imran was barred from entering Karachi. Mqm workers chalked every other wall with filthy remarks targeted at Khan. Last time Khan was in Khi, someone questioned abt Altaf and he said and I quote, "Ab Altaf k baray main koi baat karni ho to main pehlay in say puch leta hun(pointing towards, Alvi sb and co), q k pichli dafa b Alvi sb k ghar tak bara masla ho gaya tha).
Deny any of the following;
. Bhatta khori
. Gun point pay qurbaani kee khalain
. Bori band lashain
. Altafs association with his bharti masters
. 12th May massacre (Sherry Rehmans footage clearly showed mqm terrorists firing from atop Baloch colony pull)12 May pay faisla ana tha to Sindh Aseembly ka gherao ho gaya tha.
Point is, do not act all rosy and mushy. This is a terrorist gang. We will appreciate if you just be honest in your marketing.
Paani kee linain daalna nazim ka kaam hai. These are no credentials to give premiership to anyone.

What a LAME EXCUSE is that.......JI use to have a huge Gathering in Karachi, ANP use to have few Huge Jalsas in Karachi in the past even PPP also have alot of support in Karachi so if these parties can make some road then PML(A-Z), PTI and others are far more better then them........PML(A-Z) and PTI are USE TO of Complaining and Criticizing all the time as this is the Key to their Politics cause they are known for their POPULOUS Politics......If these parties cant able to Gather people in Karachi then its not Other's fault but its Their INCOMPETENCY fair and Square....Making Excuses that someone is not allowing them to operate is nothing but Complaining about their Failure....Its the same as a Boy who failed the Exam and making Excuses that Paper came out of syllabus blah blah blah just to save his nose.....
If they really think they they could make an impact then they had to EARN this spot just like all others.....

the point is to jump from the passengers seat to the drivers seat. MQM has never been able to do this before... they want to expand so that they become a more mainstream national party which would allow them to possibly form their own govt in the future which is impossible as of right now. it is to show the Punjabi awaam that MQM is not dushman of Punjabi people, because in past PTV has painted bad picture of MQM and has shown MQM in badlight.
another reason.... to bring the middle class leadership in the aiwaan and break family politics in Punjab. those who are capable and cannot afford millions to run for election candidate just because they do not belong to elite class, they can use MQM's platform to spring themselves up and do something for this country. MQM has also done leaps and bounds to expand in Sindh itself and it wants to expand all over Pakistan.
people need to understand that MQM cannot be blamed solely for all the problems in Karachi... make a MQM member home minister and problem might be 50% resolved right there.

---I think you are going overboard in calling MQM as failed party of Karachi. CDGK led by Mustafa Kamal bhai has proven that if MQM is given proper chance, it will make change for the better.
The reason you are criticizing MQM is because of Law and Order... and that is simply not MQM's domain. As I said before put MQM's homeminister and watch the change. Even Mustafa Kamal used to pull his hair out knowing that he can build so much but whats the use if there will still be chaos in the streets. thats why he built command and control center, first of its kind in Pakistan. Law enforcement agencies as an institution are not doing that great in Karachi and the problem is way beyond the MQM frenzy you are tyring to generate.
A simple black and white analysis of "fail" and "pass" wont work here. I encourage you to take a view that takes the dynamics of Karachi and Sindh politics into account. Why not give someone new a chance in Punjab? If you do not like MQM which is most common opinion on streets of Punjab, then maybe Punjab should atleast get PTI to win lots of seats in Punjab, atleast family/elite class politics might be broken down like that... thats what i would like to see in largest province of Pakistan, it will send waves all over Pakistan of change. try something new, and in my humble opinion if PTI will ever get a good chance to change voter habits it would be in Punjab.
