Dont worry they are not going to quit the Govt.
Wait for few days and they will change. Just trying to put pressure on Govt. to get some favor for some.....Posted 1 year ago on 22 Aug 2010 17:40 # -
@Google that's the exact question reporter asked from Farooq Sattar that why don't you(MQM) quit the government if you think government is corrupt and have failed, as usual hypocrite Farooq Sattar deflected the question and simply responded that quitting govt is a secondary issue,at the moment just appreciate the courageous statement given by Altaf bai..
I am just wondering.. If army chooses to launch an operation in Karachi after the killings of almost 150 innocent Karachiites in recent days ,would Altaf bai still be 'all praise' for the army and the 'patriotic' army general .. ?

"I am just wondering.. How sweet! Altaf Bhai willing to support another Martial Law. Martial Law seems to be a remote possibility this time.
Posted 1 year ago on 22 Aug 2010 18:19 # -
Today Rehman Malik mentioned Arms in Karachi & other parts of Pakistan while talking with media in Sialkot. May be MQM fears there might be an operation in Karachi so they issued this statement. They may also want govt. not to take action against the killers of ANP leaders in Karachi.
Other reason may be the are pressurizing PPP for local govt election as recently there are some report in media about it.

MQM will be the mainstream party in next election to support mushy (de-facto martial law) all is writing on the wall
Posted 1 year ago on 22 Aug 2010 18:47 # -
MQM knows no one can run Pakistan without them, military or civilians alike, so their nerve to make such statements is well founded.

@barackosama
.. Simply because they know they are holding Karachi hostage.. what if hostage takers are dealt with sternly ..

The bosses are looking to use them again as ever.
An after Altaf position is also under consideration perhaps.Posted 1 year ago on 22 Aug 2010 22:12 # -
i really like this position taken by MQM. Zardari and Jiyale wont like it but too bad.
Posted 1 year ago on 23 Aug 2010 5:21 # -
This is a rather untenable position taken by MQM, or so as it seems.

Democracy can be established unless feudalism is abolished. The elected criminal jagirdars and sardars dominate the parliament. All the military dictators like Ayub, Zia and Musharaff missed the chances of abolishing feudalism.

oh...it shows he has got the signal from his local and foreign masters to go for Martial law.
as he has supported Martial law of Mush .Posted 1 year ago on 23 Aug 2010 6:24 # -
What Altaf Qatil did not realize is that any patriotic and honest general would get rid of MQM and Altaf first.
This is either a scare tactic or, as Beenai said, he got the green-light from uncle Sam.Posted 1 year ago on 23 Aug 2010 6:35 # -
Army Generals will find it impossible to get rid of MQM really, it has been tried and tested. and plus Army is on MQM side nowadays for various reasons.
Posted 1 year ago on 23 Aug 2010 7:12 # -
MQM doesn't care of anything except itself.Both PPP and ANP are trying hard to get Karachi out of the hold of MQM and for that they like MQM are using weapon.And MQM too in return used weapons and stand exposed more than ANP and PPP.
Now MQM being a party having no concern about Pakistan and democracy has tried to pressurize PPP by saying that it might support martial law.
The current situation in Karachi shows:
1-MQM is still the terrorist group.
2-PPP and ANP too are on path of becoming terrorist group.
3-MQM is not concerned about Pakistan and democracy.Posted 1 year ago on 23 Aug 2010 7:22 # -
@quaidkamazaar
Is that the reason why Altaf is reluctant to come back to Pakistan ?Posted 1 year ago on 23 Aug 2010 7:23 # -
@quaid ka mazar,
@Army is on MQM side nowadays for various reasons.its the other way around .
MQM is on army side forever for one reason that are its short term goals .Posted 1 year ago on 23 Aug 2010 7:31 # -
It is very interesting that how PLMN has fallen to the trap set by MQM and PPP. The statement given by AH is carefully crafted and reaction should have been coming from PPP. But No reaction from PPP, that smells a big fat rat.
I beleive that PLMN should not have reacted to this statement and should have ignored it compeletely and should have waited for PPP reaction. PLMN's quick reaction shows a political naivety and responding to political trap without understanding it.
BTW Brian D Hunt met with AH just a day before in London before this statement.
PPP is absolutely mum on AH statement as this benefical for them in anycase. If army takes over they will again play the victim card and if PLMN end up having a spat with MQM on this issue it will take away the attntion and focus from PPP's poor and inept response to the flood victims.

As few bloggers said, Brian de Hunt met Pir of London just one day back. So it is clear that Uncle Sam is there.
Pervaiz Rasheed a very polite and intelligent spokesman of (N) very rightly pointed out that Pir ji is asking army to come into another DALDAL. Army is already very busy in other operations. Kiani Sahib has restored its credibility to some extent. So they may not take such risk.
Moreover who can trust the patriotism of Altaf? People in Army are not so fool either. Specially current COAS is very calm and smart man.

Altaf Hussain is a shrewd politician with keen foresight and ability to read writing on the wall. He and his party suffered at the hands of Army during the 90s Army operations and now he has learnt his lesson that there is no gain in politics if you are at odds with country's most powerful force and kingmakers (Army). MQM enjoyed Army support during the last 10 years because they sided with them and they want to do the same in the years to come. Whenever the next Martial Law is imposed, MQM will be again standing behind army along with many other political players especially PML-Q, some from PML-N, PPP and other small parties.
PPP's continuing poor performance and bad governance is paving the way for another Army rule or may be before that PML-N may get a chance (without Nawaz Sharif, Shobaz Sharif may be acceptable to them) to rule the country for few years. No matter what happens in our political scene, one thing is clear another Martial Law is inevitable.

How wisely (or cleverly) our politicians change sides? Army had been a BIG culprit so far in the dictionary of MQM now they are angels!!!
Some people are questioning it rightly that If the present government IS corrupt, then why MQM is not finishing its alliance with it?. MQM's (intelligent) response on this would be written in SPECIAL words in history. Probably now the answer and stand by whole MQM on this statement and its support to corrupt government is being carved out!!
Waiting.....

This is from your link
"A senior leader of the Pakistan People's Party, Taj Haider, said that "such statements are not welcome". However, he hastily added that he would not say anything that might affect the working relationship of the PPP and the MQM, which are coalition partner at the centre and in Sindh. "We are following the policy of reconciliation and would continue to pursue it."What influence Taj Haider has in PPP ?
I stick by my statement.

Any forthcoming general should not miss the opportunity of abolishing feudal system. Feudalism system is the main menace of the Pakistani society. Any democracy following the abolishment of feudalim will really be successful and then no martial-law will follow it.

Look at MQM pattern... They always remain in Govt and criticize their jageerdar partners to get emotional favours from Karachiites.. This is their old tactic to pressurize govt and get their ghunday free who have been arrested recently...
MQM is a mafia n it will remain a mafia... however, sensing writing on wall that things may go against MQM due killings spree by death squad, they r trying to appease military..
But they dont know, if military will come then this will be their final show and they will also be getting kick on their dirty back bcoz this wont be musharaf time:)))

MQM won't abandon ship unless its quite sure that ship is going to drown(until then these MQMized hypocrites would continue to go to bed with same 'jageerdarana wadeerana' crap that absconding grand terrorist Altaf bai cusses and criticizes. Moment they smell rats,they would be first one to abandon ship & ditch the coalition and then these hypocrites would issue an statement that MQM have parted ways with coalition on some 'principle stand'(hypocritical stand)
Taj Haider is one of the PPP's senior karachi based leader who knows all to well about MQM and its terrorism and have countless time demanded that stern action should be taken against the criminal mafia,but as Faarigh Jazbati rightly pointed out
What influence Taj Haider has in PPP ?
After BB's death zardari has sidelined all the senior leaders and only his chums and sidekicks are influential these days whereas senior leaders have been sidelined and snubbed.

My two cents on the peer's latest nuskha
http://natashasuleman.wordpress.com/2010/08/24/calling-rescue-051/
BTW, What is shocking is Khan's backing of the martial law.
Posted 1 year ago on 23 Aug 2010 21:43 # -
In the backdrop of almost 150+ killings in recent days and continued bloodshed almost on daily basis it is more logical to call Army into Karachi to clean up the MQMized filth rather then asking them for a martial law like the tail wagging Absconding terrorist has demanded.
ANP leader demands Army to be called in Karachi and deweaponization of Karachi.
http://www.samaa.tv/News24560-ANP_leaders_brother_shot_dead_in_Karachi.aspx
“It is time to call the army. Our workers and leaders are being targeted. The civil government in Sindh has not taken appropriate measures therefore the army should be called according to the constitution,” demanded ANP leader Haji Adil Khan.
Adil Khan while talking to SAMAA said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement, on the one hand, oppose the army operation in Karachi against the criminals, while party chief, Altaf Hussain, support martial law in the country.
“It is vital that Karachi city should be deweaponized.”

This day was bound to come after "apolitical" General was given three years extension. IK rightly said few months ago "MQM is our natural ally". By nature he probably meant alliances made in haven or as we know GHQ. He repeatedly said getting on Musharaaf band wagon was his biggest mistake. Well he has just committed second biggest by getting on Kiyani band wagon. His real regret was not that he supported Musharaaf but that Musharaaf didn't reciprocate. Well this time with some new set of guarantors he seems to be assured General Kiyani will not repeat Musharaaf's "mistake".
I am sure IK and GHQ won't be able to solve anything. The only medal they will have, like Musharaaf , they will make Zardari and Sharifs victim and political hero again. People of Pakistan will yet again loose the opportunity to vote out someone they don't like.
Posted 1 year ago on 24 Aug 2010 2:42 # -
Can Imran be that naive or is he becoming the B-Team of GHQ, very disappointed by this statement of his. As for Altaf Bhai, well what should be the fate of terrorists , take out 90 with a drone when most of the MQM leadership is meeting and most of your issues of repression and terrorism in Karachi will be solved.

@shirazi
He repeatedly said getting on Musharaaf band wagon was his biggest mistake. Well he has just committed second biggest by getting on Kiyani band wagon. His real regret was not that he supported Musharaaf but that Musharaaf didn't reciprocate.Mush did reciprocate but he wanted Imran to be his patsy,a completely obedient,submissive prime minister just like Shaukat(Shortcut) Aziz .

well, i was saying army is on MQM side nowadays because former generals and braadri is coming out of the closet and admitting past misdeeds... then they say that Jinnahpur was a fake.
Posted 1 year ago on 24 Aug 2010 4:27 # -
Salaudin,
the reason Altaf bhai is not coming back is clear... safety. MQM wants to safeguard their leader as you know anything can happen in Pakistan.

@quaidkamazaar
MQM controls KHI, why is he so scared ? The truth is that Army is still against Altaf along with thousands who lost their friends/relatives because of him.Posted 1 year ago on 24 Aug 2010 6:30 # -
Lol at the disappointment of PTI fans on Imran Khan's stance. This is what happens when a guy devoid of any foresight and political acumen wants to be a wannabe. Imran Khan could have taken a position that he along with like minded people will do whatever it takes to cleanse the system of all its ills and vices; regardless of how long the struggle will take place. Not only has he thrown his weight behind an army intervention but he has made best friends with Altaf!
Posted 1 year ago on 24 Aug 2010 6:46 # -
On a lighter note, just saw a ticker yesterday on ARY news that some Farooq Awan guy who heads a faction of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has also supported this ludicrious cry of Altaf Hussain......a faction of PTI, already?!!!! Wonder what would happen if the PTI ends up winning about 5 seats...Lol.
Posted 1 year ago on 24 Aug 2010 6:50 # -
He didn't say that he would support the military rule. I know people like 'siddiqi73' would like to repeat this over and over again to spread their propaganda but I would recommend people to watch that ViewsOnNews themselves to understand what exactly he said.
Posted 1 year ago on 24 Aug 2010 8:21 # -
Such statements coming from the leader of a mainstream political party is indeed a sad thing. Democracy is the right of Pakistani people.

You can expect such brain farts from the folks in MQM but Immi boy agreeing with his arch enemy...now thats where the plot thickens!
