... Najam Sethi conveniently absolves military establishment in todays program of apas kee bat ... and gives an insight on the thought process inside our GHQ ... how our sipah salars wanted to resolve memo issue ... is the military finally taking a step back ... do civilians finally have an upper hand in this battle of nerves ...

the military propaganda mouthpiece and known ISI stooge finally comes to the rescue of military establishment ...going soft on PPP ... creating a way out without any heads rolling ... blaming Nawaz Sharif for the current impasse and destabilization ...

.. my assessment or wishful thinking ...but has Nawaz Sharif been exploited yet again by the military establishment ... is he being left high and dry ...will memogate go any further ... ich dont think so ...

It must have been Najam Sethi's own effort to calm things down but memogate isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Mansoor Ijaz will be coming to pk on 16th(I hope he doesn't get scared by today's developments). NRO implementation larger bench will start hearing on 16th. SC/Establishment does have a time line in mind on how to deal with this current incompetent lot holding the country hostage..

I dont see him coming ... specially after the public stand by US officials lobbyists on this issue ... being a lobbyist and a wheeler dealer himself he would not want to to lose his goodwill/credibility with his contacts ... he has suddenly disappeared from media ... has he even applied for his visa....either in Bern or in London... what does his attorney say....the media should be on it... just 2 days left before weekend to get his visa sorted ....

...btw the only time the establishment has backed off is when PPP is on the attack, and preempts their conspiracies...let see ..as i already said ...it might be my wishful thinking ...

I also fail to understand who is he working for these days?

Probably he wants to earn goodwill with Pakistani establishment and then sell his contacts to US but the thing is US already has deep penetration inside Pakistan as is and does not need people like him.

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Thursday said its High Commission in London or any other consulate has not yet received visa application from Mansoor Ijaz, the main witness in the memo case.

"We have not received visa application by Mansoor Ijaz either at the High Commission in London or any other consulate," said Foreign Office Spokesperson Abdul Basit in his weekly press briefing here at Foreign Office Thursday.

Mansoor Ijaz is an important witness in the memo case and a Commission constituted by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry headed by Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, Qazi Faez Issa has been conducting enquiry into the case.

During the proceedings of the Commission, Mansoor Ijaz's lawyer, Akram Shaikh told the commission that his client was not being issued visa for Pakistan.

The commission directed the embassies in Switzerland and United Kingdom to issue multiple visa to Mansoor Ijaz upon the receipt of his passport and application without other conditions.

The Foreign Office spokesman giving latest details on the visa of Mansoor Ijaz said so far the High Commission of Pakistan in UK or another consulate have no yet received any visa request from Mansoor Ijaz. (APP)
