Wow..what a powerful statement from the Lion himself

Now all the responsibility and blame goes to Awaam. He has done his job

    1. He was silent about Musharraf's Trial

    2. He was happy to meet John Kerry and said nothing to his face. However, after Kerry left Pakistan, he was against he KL bill.

    3. He is not saying much about NRO because now the media is talking about his own tax statements and SROs.

Nawaz accepts Zardari’s invitation for dinner
Updated at: 2230 PST, Thursday, October 22, 2009
Nawaz accepts Zardari’s invitation for dinner ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader and Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has accepted the invitation of President Asif Ali Zardari to attend dinner a reception on Monday.

President Asif Ali Zardari invited Nawaz Sharif on phone at 9:00 pm on Wednesday.

Turkish PM is also scheduled to attend this dinner, sources said.

Political analysts are not expecting any major breakthrough in this meeting. However, they anticipate that PML (N)’s reservation over country’s political scenario, charter of democracy, Kerry-Lugar bill and ongoing operation against terrorists might come up for brief discussion.

Sources said Asif Ali Zardari might officially request Nawaz Sharif for holding talks on reconcilation.

The two leaders had last met on July 17 in Raiwind, Lahore, after which a joint statement was also issued. This meeting was also the result of an invitation extended by the President to Nawaz Sharif.

These Jerks are not Leaders they are Bernard Madoff, all they want is Money and Power by hook or by crook.

Both have millions of followers and both Parties carry a reasonable vote bank.
If something better comes out after the Dinner, there is nothing wrong.
It is not wise to criticize, ridicule and make a mockery of a positive development, in anticipation, what may come out to be a blessing in disguise for Pakistan.

the only thing coming out of this dinner meeting will be lot of DAKAARS... after wasting ( eating ) hundreds of thousands of rupees.

We are constantly told, Pakistan is in a state of war.

Should the Prez be holding laving dinner parties in state of war? ( i guess that's a separate thread )

Yes the blame truly goes on the awam for supporting a such a piece of crap person.

I mean dont get me wrong i see honesty in his statement there.

Awam is to be blamed for all what is happening around us.

Look at us a semi private prison is made up in the residential area of the capital. Our cities are being rocked by bombs and our airspace being violated every day and we have nothing to speak out at. Pakistan was surplus in a lot of things 2 decades back and now its slipping into frequent shortages.

**** is right to blame the awam cos we are the ones responsible for people like Zardari and him to be in power.

  9. Nawaz is a loser in the lot ...
he has lost the life time opportunity,to get popular in public after judges restoration movement ...
he fails to hold it back and lose it on his silence on crucial national issues ....
on directives of saudia ,he was following 'wait n see policy 'and hence getting his popularity gone down on a steep slope .

He has proved himself a clear cut servant of the foreign instructions. You see when he spoke on Kerry Lugar Bill when PPP minister had come in full swing to reject the criticism. Even after that he could advise his party to file a requisition for a session in NA but every one kept quite. They are all culprits and fight with each other for the sake of their own interests.

One more thing ..Awam is not responsible for the problems as Awam never ever selected or gave such decision which make NS prime minister or Zardari as president. Each and every Election was engineered and we know this well and yet blame ourselves. You see the recent example. Zardari openly said he does not want any chair but what he did later on. Shame on all such politicians.

@Linkwheel: you are being unfair when you compare this **** munafiq (NS) with Bernard Madoff, unfair to Madoff, that is: Madoff ran away with rich people's money. These Pakistani political "leaders", all of them despicable criminals, these voracious hyenas, rob and plunder the poor, suck the blood of the already destitute. To know all this and still support a Nawaz Sharif or an Asif Zardari, as many people do here, is even worse!

Anwer KAmal saahab, last election was a free and fair election. there were checks from even other countries to see if voting is done correctly, and yes it largely was done rightly.

Election was not rigged, people did actually turn out voting and making PPP and PML-N powerful. not that many people voted in the whole country is another issue.

Yesterday I was showing my wife around Nawaz Sharif and Benazir's houses in Dubai (while driving). I find it quite interesting that both of them live in the same area (Emirates Hills).

    @ shikra,

"It is not wise to criticize, ridicule and make a mockery of a positive development, in anticipation, what may come out to be a blessing in disguise for Pakistan. "

The funniest statement I have heard this entire week!

Why do we always expect "Angel" like acts from our politicians?

One of the member said that:
    1. He was silent about Musharraf's Trial
    2. He was happy to meet John Kerry and said nothing to his face. However, after Kerry left Pakistan, he was against he KL bill.
    3. He is not saying much about NRO because now the media is talking about his own tax statements and SROs

I don't think Nawaz is silent on Musharraf's trial. He has spoken about Musharraf's trial in his every interview, press conference and statement. What else do you want him to do? Go and hang Musharraf himself?

About Nawaz Sharif and Senator Kerry meeting, well, both are politicians and there is nothing wrong in meeting. I don't understand why people talk childish when they say things like this. Nawaz has said he had reservations on KL bill before his meeting with Kerry and still has same reservations.

My friend says that Nawaz is not saying much about NRO. It is not like that "Oh, media is talking about my tax statements and SROs so let's not say anything about the NRO." Come on. Does it make nay sense?

I started another thread where I talked about real action Vs. Fake action. Whoever is against whatever should take real action in parliament. Ghairat-o-hummiat se labraiz bayanaat kee qeemat aik takay kay barabar bhi nahi hai.
