Discretion in acts of charity are vital to allow the person receiving it some dignity.

Bohat acha kam ha, lakin jis kee aimdani us kay tax kay hisab say itni na ho, woh 25 lakh apni jab say kasa day sakta ha?

Agar NS na apni jab sa diya ha to phir to yeah tax chori ka pasa ha:)

The last time I checked, sending someone money did not require personal presence of anyone. So please don't fool yourself with this pointless and shallow reason. The days of the sick public self-promotional acts of charity are coming to an end.

Recently in the media I saw Shabaz holding a cheque against a man's face who had suffered third degree burns in a violent incident. That is typical of the Sharif family's idea of charity.

A family that pays no income tax seems to have lots of money for charity, that is the other conundrum as pointed out by Dusky. I will tell you the problem with Nawaz and Shahbaz, when ever they open their mouth you just want to cringe at the self-serving lies they come up with.

Yes, bring on the elections and lets find out how deep the love is for your leaders.

I am about to make a subtle point and I hope it is not lost on you.

You are right, I am not happy seeing Nawaz giving handouts of money, as a matter of fact I would be profoundly unhappy to Imran behaving in this way. The reason is quite simple; if institutions or the Government in Punjab were working properly, cases like this would be taken care off in an institutional manner rather than becoming news stories.

If I were to say 1 million people in Punjab are destitute (this is a highly under-estimated figure), so should I have the expectation that Nawaz and Shabaz will visit all these with the press in to hand them cheques? Charitable handouts public or otherwise, are an indication of institutional failure. The message is if the CM or his brother notices your plight you have some chance of help, money or justice whatever you are looking for.

Be reasonable and denounce the public dramas of benevolence and charity. Let Pakistanis have live with dignity rather than begging our rulers for favours and sifarish. If this does not make sense to you, then I have no more to say to you.

Yes, I will be never be happy and perhaps my problem is ignorance but your problem is worse; it's self-deceit. I wish you luck with that.

Nawaz Sharif ne kon sa Yeh Haq halal kee kumaai se diya ha. Yeh dollar account ka loota huwa maal ha. abi tao 25 lakhs wapas aay hein. ab yeh bataain keh baqi ka 3 billions dollar kab lotaain gay.

In 1997 Nawaz Sharif introduced dollar account in Pakistan banking. Many peoples from Pakistan and overseas opened that accounts and deposited big amounts.

Later in 1998 when Pakistan had atomic blasts, these accounts were freezed and most of the money was taken by government from these accounts. It is estimated about 3 billion dollars.

In 2001 When Sharif family made deal with Musharaf and left for Saudia with 49 suitcases. They took this money in that suitcases and now they are running business empires in UK, Saudia and other countries.

Typical piplee nonsense to allege that any money was taken out from dollar accounts by the government.

In 1999, dollar accounts were frozen and all account holders were given the option either to get their money in equivalent Pak Rs or to get dollar bonds paying interest and cashable in dollars at a future date.

All those who did not opt to receive equivalent Pak Rs, later on got their dollars back.

The rates offered officially were lower than the open market rates. I personally lost a lot of money. I am one of the victims of nincompoop Sharif's misdeeds.

Shaheed e Pakistan 'Hakeem Saeed' exposed certain facts about foreign currency scam committed by Ghair Shariffs.

Qarz Utaro Mulk Sanwaro scheme was another fraud committed by Ghair Shariffs.

The option was there to get dollar bonds for those who did not want to get Pak Rs at official rates. Those who exercised that option got their money back in dollars, though they had to wait for a while during which they got interest on their money.

My family also lost money by cashing out immediately in Pak Rs, (when compared with black market rates), but I would be happy to do it again if it helps Pakistan's defense.

As for Qarz Utaro scheme, both Musharraf and current PPP governments have acknowledged that every penny is accounted for. This was also previously discussed on this thread: http://pkpolitics.com/discuss/topic/wikileaks-to-reveal-swiss-accounts-of-pakistanis.

Every national crime or scam is covered up very sweetly. Nobody appears as a culprit. As a nation, we are experts in this affair. Even the shameful surrender of 1971 was not blamed upon anybody. No culprit of 1971 tragedy was tried or punished let alone smaller scams like dollar account or Qarz Utaro Mulk Sanwaro Scheme.

Whatever account from where the money was paid, it was a great help to a deserving artiste of our past. There has been no comedian of Lehri's unique style. He was the comedian whose comedy never reflected any cheapness unlike most of the comedians. He was a graceful comedian.

The Rs 5000 tax returns of Nawaz Shairf that they love to quote every where were during his time in exile prior to the 2007 period.

This is the latest tax returns of Nawaz Sharif as per the FBR documents during the last financial period.
