Nawaz tasks senior leaders with preventing further defections

    LAHORE - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has assigned National Assembly Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and other senior leaders of the party the task to contact party leaders who were double-minded and considering joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI).

    The PML-N leadership had earlier claimed that PTI Chairman Imran Khan would not succeed in luring any prominent PML-N leaders to his party, but PML-N’s senior vice president and veteran politician Javed Hashmi was the first to join the PTI, which was a major blow to the PML-N.

    Hashmi’s departure shook the PML-N, which is now trying to hold back others who are also looking to jump onto Imran Khan’s bandwagon. Nawaz has asked Nisar, Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Ishaq Dar and Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa to personally meet such party leaders and spare no efforts to address their concerns. The PML-N chief’s directives have accelerated the efforts to address the concerns of disgruntled party leaders so as to keep them within the folds of the party.

    I don't think PMLN has learned any lesson from Javed Hashmi's departure. Ayaz Amir will soon join PTI.

    There are always backbenchers in every party who think they are worth more than they are given weight in the party. As and when an opportunity arises, some of them will leave. This is a normal political process.

    For a popular party like PMLN, there are several waiting outside the ring to get in as soon as someone leaves. So, there is no real danger to PMLN at this time as its leadership is pretty well trusted by the electorate. It would rather help them make room for some younger folks in the party

    Things are more challenging to PTI at this point as all the misfits from other parties are docking there. It is to be seen how PTI manages all those aspirants of top spots in the party from a narrow belt of south Punjab.

    سُنا ہے حلف کی تجویز پیش کی گئی ہے کہ تمام ممبران حلف اُٹھائیں کہ جو مرضی ہو جائے وُہ نیاز شریف کو نہیں چہوڑیں گے

    "Halaf" should be given to Imran Khan that he will not join PMLN once he is chased out by his new coteries from the party.

    Nawaz Sharif and PML-N are in trouble and future defections are expected. Establishment has launched an all-out attack on all (seat-winning members) to change their loyalty and join PTI. At the moment, PTI does not have seat-winning members and Establishment is making sure there are at least 75 seat winning members with PTI before next election.

    Our politics is full of lotaism and mafad parasti. Shame on our faithless politicians and our nation call them leaders.

    ہمارے مُلک میں حلف کی کیا وقعت ہے؟ کیا یہ سب لٹیرے اسمبلیوں میں جا کے حلف نہیں اُٹھاتے کہ وُہ اِس مُلک کے وفادار رہیں گے اور ترقی کے لئے کام کریں گے۔ لیکں ہر کوئی اپنی جیب بھر کہ نکل لیتا ہے ۔ کیا مُشرف نے حلف نہ اُٹھا یا تھا؟ کیا راجہ رینٹل نے حلف نا اُٹھا یا تاھ؟ اور کیا مکروہ ہنسی والے بابر حیوان نے کوئی حلف نہیں اُٹھایا ہوا؟

    میاں صاحب تسی ہن جاگے ہو! نواز شریف کو چاہیئے کہ وہ پارٹی میں مشاورت کا دائرہ وسیع کرے اور کارکنوں سے رابطے بڑھائے انہیں جماعت میں اہمیت دے۔ اگر نواز شریف کارکنوں کو اہمیت دے گا تو کئی جاوید ہاشمی مسلم لیگ میں پیدا ہو جائیں گے۔ مسلم لیگ کے تمام دھڑوں کو متحد کرے اور ملک بھر کے دورے کر کے مسلم لیگ کو مضبوط کرے۔ چودھری نثار جیسے غلط مشورے دینے والے لوگوں سے جان چھڑائے اور پارٹی میں اپنے خاندان کے لوگوں کو نوازنے کا سلسلہ بند کرے۔ اگر یہ سب نہیں کرے گا تو پھر تاریخ کا حصہ بننے کے لئے تیار ہو جائے۔ مسلم لیگ کا پاکستانی سیاست میں بے اثر ہوجانا کوئی نیک شگون نہیں ہوگا۔

    Sardar Mehtab Abbasi would be a fool to make such a move as NS and has backed him to the hilt as far as PML (N) KPK Chapter is concerned. So much so that guys like Saranjam Khan have threatened to leave NS if him and his group are sidelined in favour of Abbasi and his group.

    صدیق بھائی ۔ سر انجام اور اُس کے ٹولے کے کرتوت ابھی بیان فرما دیجئے ۔ تاکہ اگر وُہ نون لیگ کو داغِ مفارقت دے جائیں تو لوگوں کے لئے اچنھبے کا باعث نہ ہو اور آپ پہ بھی الزام نہ آئے کہ لوگ جب تک نون لیگ میں رہیں تو پوتر اور جب دُوسری پارٹی میں جائیں تو راکھشس ۔۔۔

    اِسی طرح نون لیگ میں حالیہ موجود باقی ارکان کا کچا چٹھا بھی اگر سامنے لے آئیں تو عوام الناس کی رہنمائی کے لئے مُفید ہوگا ۔

    جاوید ہاسمی کی جگہ سابق وزیر اعلی خیبر پختوں خواہ سردار مہتاب عباسی کو سینیئر نائب صدر بنائے جانے کا امکان ہے۔ اگر سردار مہتاب عباسی کو سینیئر نائب صدر بنادیا گیا تو پھر پیر صابر شاہ بلامقابلہ خیبر پختونخواہ کے صدر منتخب ہوجائیں گے۔

    امید ہے نواز شریف اپنے خاندان میں سے کسی کو نوازنے کے بجائے کسی دوسرے کارکن کو یہ عہدہ دیں گے اور یہ عہدہ پنجاب کے علاوہ کسی دوسرے صوبہ سے ہوگا۔

    اگر نواز شریف مخلص کارکنوں کو نظر انداز کرکے چودھری نثار اور خواجہ آصف جیسے خوشامدیوں اور اپنے خاندانی افراد کو نوازتا رہے گا مخلص کارکن جاوید ہاشمی کی طرح ساتھہ چھوڑ جائیں گے۔

    تحریک انصاف سیاسی یتیموں کا ٹولہ ہے کوئی نظریاتی جماعت نہیں۔

    مگر جاوید ہاشمی، شاہ محمود قریشی، جہانگیر ترین، ہوتی، لغاری برادران سیاسی یتیم نہیں یہ جس جماعت میں ہوں کامیاب ہوں گے۔ انہیں جماعتوں کی اتنی ضرورت نہیں جتنی جماعتوں کو ان کی ضرورت ہے۔

    I agree with you that it is still not too late for Pml(N) to reassess their own mistakes and blunders. When party leaders become hostage by a small group of favorites then the parties have to face big disasters. Pml(N) needs to produce dedicated workers rather than sitting rooms leaders. If party leadership trust their workers then an ordinary worker like Shakeel Awan can defeat a heavy weight in politics like Sh Rasheed.

    نون لیگ کی تباہی میں سب سے بڑا ہاتھ میاں برادران کا اپنا ، پھر خواجہ آصف، اسحاق ڈار کا ہوگا، اگر کوئی صحیح طور پہ عوامی جذبات کا اندازہ لگا رہا ہے تو وہ خواجہ سعد رفیق ہے لیکن اُوپر والا ٹولہ سعد رفیق کو جذباتی جوان قرار دے دیتا ہے ۔
