Nazir Naji's STUPIDEST Conspiracy Theory: 'Plane crash a TERRORIST strike'

(29 posts)

  1. Says:
1: Because one guy show some people shouting "Naara-e-Takbeek -- Allah-o-Akbar" at the crash scene, it must have been a terrorist strike
2: Claims pilot's 'tor-tariqay' (doesn't mention them but the guy was religious fella who said his prayers regularly and had a beard) PROVE he MUST have belonged to some terrorist outfit.

There are many experts of conspiracy theories on the tele-meida. The foremost among them is Dr. Shahid Masood.

Don't tell me you are endorsing Nazir Naji! And do you seriously believe Dr. Shahid Masood is worse than him? Amazing!

  6. This one takes the cake from Dungar Dawktur and makes Nazir Naji a bigger **** than DDSM ...

The guy was religious, so that means he must've been a terr'ist ... ****!

The captain's "piety" has now been used, on the one hand to malign and implicate him, and on the other hand, to exonerate him (voh to baray parhezgar aadmi thay). Both approaches are flawed IMO.

Balance, rationality, objectivity, out the farkin window!

Personally I think it happened because of bad weather, pilot fatigue and perhaps communication problems arising from the criminally typical "chal so chal", ad-hoc, "dang-tapao" mentality that permeates the Pakistani nation.

Two words could currently describe our nation as a whole: Criminal Incomptence.

Every single actor involved in this tragedy can be accused of this...

I am not at all fan of Nazir Naji...

But to be fair, its correct to question the circumstances around how the plane crashed.

Islamabad airport is about 20KM away from the hills and runway direction is at an angle to the hills. Collision seems a head on which suggests the plane perhaps never attempted landing maneuver. Had it diverted after the attempt it would have risen up away from the hills.

I see no reason for pilot to fly low and straight for 20KM in the direction of hills. The distance was more then enough to gain high altitude. I have lived in Islamabad in fact I was there last week and have flown in numerous times into the airport.

The weather during winter fog is worse than the weather experienced by the plane.

They still have to find the blackbox, given its a small crash site and black box usually emits a frequency it should have been found immediately. Also airport tower has yet to reveal any sort of transcript it recorded during its conversations with the pilot.

"But to be fair, its correct to question the circumstances around how the plane crashed. "

Is it not "fair" to ask then why did that "terrorist" pilot NOT crash into the Presidency or the Prime Minister Secretariat or the Parliament or the GHQ? I mean they were RIGHT THERE!

    Duh!

I suppose it is. I am not laying the blame on the pilot having different motives. I am just questioning the reason that gov't has given that it crashed due to bad weather while approaching landing.

Let me paste another passenger's letter to Dawn editor specifically mentioning this issue..

I was a passenger on PIA flight PK 356 from Lahore to Islamabad on July 28. It landed in the capital at 9.30am, approximately 20 minutes before the ill-fated Airblue flight 202 crashed into the Margalla Hills under low visibility in hostile weather. While our plane landed
safely at Islamabad, I would like to emphasise that like the Airblue flight, our plane was also forced to fly low over the city in extremely poor visibility and after circling over it on a low-flight path, our pilot took an unconventional route towards the landing strip at
    the Benazir Bhutto International Airport.

This was probably necessitated by the weather, and it is, therefore, unfair to prematurely blame the Airblue pilot for that crash, as ‘experts’ appearing on the electronic media continued to do in the hours following the tragedy.

We would all do well to remember that included amongst the bereaved in this tragedy were the family of the pilot, and that jumping to conclusions before any evidence has even come to light is not only hurtful and insensitive, it serves no productive purpose whatsoever.

Nazir Naji is a complete nut case with an IQ comparable to that of Rehman Malik. If some one on crash site upon seeing so many mutilated dead bodies and body parts out of horror, shock and grief said Allah hu Akbar then does that make him a taliban or a terrorist? If the pilot
had beard or was religious then should he be tagged as a terrorist or extremist lunatic?

This guy Nazir Naji is an irresponsible jerk who shouldn't be writing about such a sensitive and serious issue where so many lives have been lost and so many families are
grieved(including that of pilot and co pilot)

I solely agree. That's why I stated that I am not laying any blame on the pilot. I definitely encourage an investigation into it, given they find the black box, which I fear they may not find for a while.

Normally no low flying plane enters Islamabad. They remain either over pindi, or sihala during the low altitude flight. I wonder if the previous plane as suggested by passenger above was seen by anyone in Islamabad's sectors flying low?

The history of yellow journalism can be traced back to the regime of Liaquat Ali Khan. LAK had opened fronts against various elements. One of the foremost elements was yellow journalism

Dear All... I have always been a critic for Nazir Naji. I have not seen or read the news that some people raised slogans at the crash site, but, the questions he has raised are quite valid and genuine. I know myself that the plane was in a very very sensitive NO FLYZONE.

I fear that the plane might have been shot down. Well we have to wait and see as what reports comes up.....

  20. Nazir Naji is a SICK mind person, specially the last 2 lines of his article gives a clue to his mindset.

  21. Nazir Naji jumped at this God given opportunity supporting a conspiracy theory that surfaced some times back saying Taliban are on their way to capture Islamabad therefore Pakistani nukes may fall in wrong hands.

  22. Naji is Zardari of journalism, i.e. untouchable. :) If Pak journalism stays him inducted in their hall of fame, one must conclude you can get away in Pak pretty much in all walks. Remember Helen Thomas?

Nazir Naji is the man who used to sing sharif songs..then musharraf songs... n now PPP songs....

This is the best effort on his part to divide public attention from tragic incident to a conspiracy theory to aid this lingering govt......

I also travelled on that day from isb to khi... the weather was really bad... n in morning while going to my office, i saw half of margalla hills vanished in clouds... how the pilot went in the red zone..then ATC must answer bcoz after having a contact with pilot n plane on its radar screen, they knew its direction, speed, altitude... all

ATC was to control the plane... for me more than a pilot, ATC must be blamed whose job is to manage airspace and control aircraft in the air.

Nazir Naji is the lowest category of humanity. Then this question arises whether people like him can be categorized as human? He is a total sell-out, man with not an iota of shame and respect. His bickering is all for personal gains. He must have written this column after getting a big lifafa from somewhere.

Its obvious that Nazir Naji seems concerned about Zardari and American embassy(Most probably his paymasters). The pilot had almost 25000+ hours of flight time under his belt, had he been planning to take down either Zardari or American embassy like this jerk is suggesting then he would have choosen a clear day and with that kind of experience he would have without doubt hit his target. My younger bro who is a pilot after reading this says that its quite apparent that this guy don't know a zilch about aviation or flying.

    @ doctor

Nazir Naji's only love these days is Zardari. After getting lifafas from Nawaz Sharif for many years, now he has turned to Zardari. According to him every incident in the country is targetted at Zardari.

The possibility he ignored to mention is that the Pilot might have saved the lives of thousands of residents by taking the plane out of city into the Margalla hills.
