The way this Forum has been devalued by few "Paid Political Members" there is need of another forum for the old Senior members of Pkpolitics to discuss the serious issues with authenticity ?

We see barrages of propaganda flowing on the threads very inadequately and immoderately for some particular political personalities. Such inadequate and immoderate propaganda campaigns set aside very serious national issues in which we all Pakistanis are stranded. Our beloved country is passing through very dangerous situation. Serious issues need our attention and concentration.

there are few other forum who managed to control low-quality discussions... either by banning the trolls or by have one topic on particular subject...
anyway, put ban on few subjects, i.e. every other day there is a thread on FalaaN is leaving falaaN party and falaaN is joining... have a ban on these kind of topics
Also force members to stay on topic... these two will have great impact in improving the quality of the forum

I would suggest apply "zero tolerance" to rules of any decent social website, which include staying on topic, using decent language, no name calling, no rumour spreading, focus on issues rather than persons, etc.
Ask all members to accept the policy and bar people who voilate with just a single warning.
Then, you won't need another forum.

MemberFirst of all I dont know what is the criteria for classifying someone senior or juinor. Secondly I think Khan Amer sahib, Sipahi sahib and Easy Go sahib have given good suggestions and agreeing with all of them I support effective management of current forums rather than create another forum.
One thing that I annot comprehend is creation of so many threads. Most times there are multiple threads created to discuss the same topic. I think there shall be a limit on creation of threads in a given time.
As we all are guests on this forum and have een given an opportunity by the host, we have huge responsibility to follow the rules of the host. Unfortunately I want to creat mess by misuing the guest facilities, yet I epxect my host to clean up the mess.

No doubt there are many paid and Non paid political members from different political parties, whom are hijacking discussions on this forum.
But i agree, this is political forum, so it should be open for everybody. Does not matter, if he belong to any party or not and making propaganda or he is speaking his own heart and views.I think, sometimes these political party members using multiple ids to advance their propaganda or teaming up with other members to convert any discussion to favorable propaganda for their political party.
At least Noon league and sometimes PTI is using these tactics.

MemberSometimes reading these discussion you would think people like Hanif Abbasi actually come here to post. The discussion when i joined were really good. Issues were discussed not parties.
This forum has become more about day to day diary of Imran Khan, no one discusses proper issues here anymore. Paid people from PML-N, MQM, PPP...have completely hijacked these websites. Just look at the opinions on the discussion forums of geo.tv, zemtv.com they are completely opposite of what you see here.

FJ_Pak, Super suggestion you made above. Thanks a lot. Those were the days. Though injustices did occur, not one of us could have been suspected of ulterior motives when he discussed, argued, agreed or disagreed over myriad topics. Never did it occur to anyone that one of us might be a paid member of any given party or force. Well, those days are gone now, aren't they? Let's put it down to modernity, progress or what have you. Like the world over, we destroyed a thing of beauty and replaced it by something our eyes can hardly bear to see and yet we clap ourselves on the back and say: Hey, look how well we're doing!
And if your eyes have begun to open finally, get up one by one and fight to retain something of what you once had: intellectual honesty which is the basis of all valid human interaction.

A voice of reason from the past and I am compelled to respond.
When discipline is absent from our lives we tend to get derailed and lose focus and forget what our objective in life is. This does happen at times even to the best of people and this is when someone with responsibility guides us back to being disciplined again. This process is a continuous one whether we are at home, at work or on a blog. All reasonable people will learn from being disciplined and will not make the same mistakes.
Someone said that what we see on this blog is a reflection of our society and I tend to agree. Whatever Pakistan is going through is entirely due to lack of discipline on the part of people, politicians and leaders. Surely, the owners of this blog would want it to be higher in ranking and that will depend on the readership. Lack of effective moderation may increase the readership/membership in the short term but it will eventually drive good members away. Hence the need for effective Moderation.

Musician, hats off! I'd completely missed out on the concept of discipline. It is indeed a key word as much in the present context as in the larger context of ridding Pakistan of its many miseries. And, indeed, Ghalib the eagle-eyed knew how to describe the ridiculous things that pass themselves off in power circles as the right way to go about living our lives.

Memberمیرے خیال میں ایک اور فورم کی ضرورت نہیں ہے بلکہ اِسی میں ہی حسب ضرورت ترامیم کر لی جائیں تو اچھا ہے۔ جیسا کہ صدیق اور قیصر نے کہا کہ یہاں ہر کوئی اپنا نقطہ نظر پیش کرتا ہے تو اُسے کرنے دیا جائے کیونکہ اختلاف رائے کا حق ہر کوئی رکھتا ہے۔ رہا باوا جی کا مطالبہ کہ لُچ تلنے کا میدان بھی میسر ہونا چاہئے تو اِسی فورم کے قوانین میں ردوبدل کر کے یہ خواہش بھی پوری کی جاسکتی ہے۔
