there is large dispaity between present provinces. its very difficult to control law and order and development supervision of far fling ares. Administrative control is also a big problem.

AND, all small provinces talk against big provice of Punjab. So its better to have atleast 10 provinces of present 4 provinces.
Punjab must be devided into 3 provinces,
Sindh into 2 provinces,
NWFP into 2,
Balochistan into 3.
PPP, ANP and MQM have already supported idea of renaming NWFP on linguistic bases therefore, all these three parties must support of idea of 10 provinces to be named on regional nationalities on linguistic bases.
Like karachi and Haiderabad province as Muhajir province,
Saraiky Province,
Baloch provice,
Pakhtoonkhaw province,
Pothohar/Maliks province.
Bugti Province,
Brohi province,
Chandio province of interior sindh.,
Hazara province etc.
However, Muhajir province , Hazara Province and Saraiky province are urgently required on top priority.
We shouldfollow the combined voice of ANP/PPP/MQM.

it is very good idea to divide current number of provinces and form provinces with 10 million population each. So this way we can have 15 or 16 provinces. Do not divide them on liguistic bases. For example a southern province should include parts of Karachi, some parts of Balochistan and some parts of Sind. Similarly other provinces can be divided and formed on the same geographic lines. This will help promote Pakistaniat in our society.

I think provinces should be divided on administrative basis rather than linguistic...
But in exception cases like hazara where people are dying i think we need to do on linguistic basis. Hazara province is a must for safety and well being of pakistanis in that region. I think more provinces will improve pakistan as federation, since smaller provinces are easier to manage, more decentralisation....How can a federal govt understand the problems of locals???

Pakhtoonkhaw is accepted on linguistic bases so all new provinces must be allowed on linguistic bases.
A principle for one province must be adopted in other provinces.
No discrimination.
Devide of Sindh , Punjab, Balochistan and NWFP into linguistic based small provinces is now important for very existance of Pakistan.

Proposed and accepted by ANP ? What is ANP ? A political party with only 15% vote bank in NWFP ?
Election Commission of Pakistan should have never allowed ANP to rule over NWFP with this much vote-bank.
I find no credible reason(s) for making new provinces. Even if new provinces were to be made, they should be made in peace time, not in war time.

New provinces will help federation system to boost in our country.
For every 10 million people we should form a new province. i.e. 15 provinces for th country
If we are going to make new provinces then lets divide whole Pakistan into lets say 10 parts equally based on NFC award so that distribution of wealth within country becomes easier and efficent as well and when changes started coming in provinces like population increase then redesign territory of that province to make it equal to other parts of pakistan....In this way we not only able to divide all the resources equally in every parts of Pakistan but also the question of inequality within our provinces will also be solved and another advantage of this is that by doing that we can get rid of ethnic conflicts and religious conflicts at the same time as both are responsible for the mess in Pakistan...

Indeed, but in the first round i think we cannot have a muhajir province. It will lead to chaos and infighting in Sindh. Even MQM is not demanding it right now because of the obvious reasons.
We need a seraiki, hazara-potohar and a southern pakhtunkhwa or something in Balochistan. FATA can be merged with KP.
Plus they should divide them as much linguistically as possible and allow each one the option of giving official status to their own languages. Similar to Sindhi in Sindh.

New provinces, will help reduce corruption.
MPA's of interior Sindh will have to convene in Nawabshah or a capital city of the new province within interior Sindh. The incentive will be to live in their own districts rather than the luxury of Karachi and therefore be more familar with the issues concerning their district.
You should see how waderas (who are obviously the MPAs) from Sanghar, Dadu and other districts live in Karachi like kings.
They have no idea of what is needed in their districts, because they live the posh areas of Karachi and spend their development budget in Karachi.
While they enjoy the adminstration of the CDGK and the cantonement, the people of their own districts have to suffer under their absentee administration.
The least they could do is learn from Karachi and take back to their districts. But, that is impossible, the assembly convenes in Karachi and once the assembly is over they don't go back.
The only time these people leave for their districts is election time.
I am sure the situation is similar in Southern Punjab.

@ Tamaaz Khan: The whole all the MPAs staying in Karachi is a misconception. Yes they do have houses here but almost all travel back to their homes in their respective areas every week. The reason though is not to meet the people but the fact that it is their culture. Most sindhi MPAs who do not travel to interior have houses in Hyderabad where they spend most of their time.
Also, correction the waderas of Sanghar(Pir Sahab Pagara/PML-F) and Dadu (Leghari and Shirazi heads-PML-Q) lost elections to PPP nominees in 2008.
We need many more then 10. Let karachi alone be a province. Lahore, Peshawar and all other big citys be own provinces. Name them after city or place nat a race or language. Or end this hole dirty british province system and give all big citys own governments and small citys can unite with area around them and make a government.
I fully support formation of new Provinces; perhaps 15 new provinces to run and manage our country.
