There is a new show on Waqt News called Insight, by renown journalist Saleem Bukhari.

I'd like to suggest that it be added, as the journalist is quiet famous and many people would be interested in watching.

This is the first episode, where he interviewed Imran Khan:

Saleem Bukhari is a well respected and renowned journalist of Pakistan, no doubt.

Yes, I agree, his new program "Insight" from Waqt TV should be added in the list of talk shows at pkpolitics.

  3. I quite agree. He'a among the most perceptive of our journalists and I still miss his Bolta Pakistan show which he anchored with another favourite of mine, Orya Maqbool Jan. So, please, to add him to our precious list. Thank you.

It would be amazing to see Salim Bukhari invite Orya Maqbool Jan on this show - they did an awesome job anchoring Bolta Pakistan together. Watching Nusrat Javed is disheartening.

The strange thing is, when these two stopped anchoring Bolta Pakistan, they mentioned in their last episode on the show that they would be starting a new show on that network within a week. It's been many months, close to a year. Seems like the network got them to do their last show on false pretences - having them tell the audience the network wasn't easing them out, like it actually did.

I guess Pro-Pakistan shows, that actually give us hope, aren't popular on the media, with millions of dollars raining down on our media to propagate American agenda. It's a pity because alot of people tuned in to listen to Salim Bukhari and Orya Maqbool Jan on Bolta Pakistan, the show's ratings were excellent.

What I also like about Saleem Bukhari is that he does not interrupt his guests too much. Many other anchors have misunderstood their role and love to hear their own voice too much.

He also seems to ask the right questions - getting the interviewee, in this case, Imran Khan, to talk about a broad range of topics. Makes the interview seem well-rounded.

I guess experience does matter and Salim Bukhari has a lifetime's worth. Most run-of-the-mill journalists seem so crass and pathetic, just yelling and hounding like an arrogant child throwing a tantrum.

@Scandinavian I know what you mean. I like Shahid Masood's shows but I find it irritating when he interrupts his guests it breaks the continuity of the conversation. Saleem Bukhari has more patience to listen I guess.

I agree that Saleem Bukhari is a well versed, well read, respectable, knowledgable and patriotic journalist......

But why his face always gives the impression as if he is sitting in the close proximity in a bad odor, or as if someone stepped on his tail???

He got to relax a little bit!!!

Is there any way to atleast have the admin/s know about this show, so they can consider uploading this as well?

Afterall, numerous run-of-the-mill shows are uploaded, many of which aren't hosted by people as notable as Salim Bukhari.

Imran says the right things no doubt, but he appears on shows too frequently for my liking. I am not going to watch the shows he comes on anymore, because he talks about the same issues most of the time.

When Imran was asked that you have no representation in the rural areas, and Imran replied Bhutto first won elections from the Urban centres and then the rural areas, and that too me seems a contradiction because for the last several months he was talking about a clean sweep in the upcoming general elections.

If you think about it - Imran Khan was answering two different points, in response to two different questions, and there isn't really a contradiction. I've seen many of his vids, I mainly like to watch the guy because unlike most other people on our media, this guy seems to tell the truth - he doesn't have view/ratings to boost, and he doesn't seem to have corruption to smooth-talk his way out of.

And about the contradiction in rural area votes - he's answered this question a number times. He says his party's stronger in rural areas, that people in rural areas are politically more aware than urban, because their life gets effected in more substantial ways. The main problem in rural areas is the grip of local landlords and political family heirs. And he's said that now, many people in areas all across Pakistan actually approach PTI to join - sometimes competing people in the same locality.

But when he's asked about his party members being unrecognized nationwide - he says that Z. A. Bhutto was also a "one-man-show", only he was recognized when his "long march" started from Lahore/GT Road, and from urban areas went to rural.

So comeon mods, could you please bring this to the attention of the admin/s. I would be nice to get their decision on this, a yes or a no.

The show is anchored by a journalist who is senior to most other run-of-the-mill anchors on the media.
