If you think about it - Imran Khan was answering two different points, in response to two different questions, and there isn't really a contradiction. I've seen many of his vids, I mainly like to watch the guy because unlike most other people on our media, this guy seems to tell the truth - he doesn't have view/ratings to boost, and he doesn't seem to have corruption to smooth-talk his way out of.
And about the contradiction in rural area votes - he's answered this question a number times. He says his party's stronger in rural areas, that people in rural areas are politically more aware than urban, because their life gets effected in more substantial ways. The main problem in rural areas is the grip of local landlords and political family heirs. And he's said that now, many people in areas all across Pakistan actually approach PTI to join - sometimes competing people in the same locality.
But when he's asked about his party members being unrecognized nationwide - he says that Z. A. Bhutto was also a "one-man-show", only he was recognized when his "long march" started from Lahore/GT Road, and from urban areas went to rural.
