AG was asked repeatedly if he had any objection over the composition of inquiry commission.

I think its wrong on both ends.
a) Formation of a nine member bench. Quite a big bench to do initial hearing.
b) AG should have asked for time for instructions from federation.
c) Bench too fast in establishing a commision to investigate and that too with a retired officer. Should have called an agency to do the investigation. It reminds me of last days of Sajjad Ali Shah , Nov 1997 when he would do the same. A petition be filed , fixed for hearing very next day and order be passed on first hearing. But what that lead to ? A total judicial choas . May not happen this time due to public support but its not setting good precedence.

@ Sharif Aadmi
Very pertinent points.
And also court now must take up the Asghar Khan petition before adjudicating this scandal!Posted 5 months ago on 02 Dec 2011 4:07 # -

Chief Justice Iftakar Ch. is in hurry to pay back further reward to Nawaz Sharif for his support for restoration. He want to see Nawaz Sharif prime minister before his retirement as chief justice.
He remembered that Noon league resigned 15 ministries for his restoration. Now he want humiliated removal of Zardari and PPP government before next election. He thinks, then there will be chance for Nawaz Sharif to win next election.
It is my gut feeling that Chief justice sent message to Nawaz Sharif, to bring this petition in supreme court. That is why, Nawaz Sharif did not even wait his own deadline to government for this matter.

Of course when the verdict has already been written in Pindi there is no point in wasting time over what the government has to say.

I think the NATO attack, OBL invasion, Naval Base attacks are much bigger issues but our great CJ ignored all of the above.
How come SC finds time to hear this petition so fast when others are in backlog for year..Mehran Bank scandal.
It shows clearly the CJ get paid by Govt of Pakistan and works for the Military of Pakistan

It does not matter who is going or coming, but i can give you guarantee that Nawaz Sharif will never be prime minister of Pakistan again.
Iftakhar Ch. and Noon league chay jitani marzi court **** kushtiyaan kar lain. There is no chance for Nawaz Sharif and Noon league to come in power again, ever.
There is 80% chance that they will loose punjab government too, after next election.Posted 5 months ago on 02 Dec 2011 17:21 # -
SC hasn't passed any judgment yet in this case,it was just initial hearing, but PPP is literally in panic mode this shows that there is more to it that meets than meets the eye, had they been clean they would have welcome any kind of inquiry. But its obvious that their hands are not clean and everything leads to presidency so they are worried.
While talking on express new PM Gillani says after 18th amendment I am responsible for whatever ambassadors do.If Haqqani is found guilty then I am guilty too.. (he was quick to clarify that don't blame scared President Zardari)
Interviewer : So sir would you too resign?
PM: Why should I resign!?(I am willing to be qurbani ka bakra but pls don't ask for my resignation!)
