Can anyone tell me why the only real Muslims around in the world today happen to be the Pukhtoon? All Muslim countries for the past ten years at least have been in a situation in which calling for Jihad was mandatory upon us, and once again it is left upto the Punkhtoon of North Waziristan to do the needful.

The last time I made this statement I was driven out of my job. I hope this time people won't come after me with hatchets and knives.

@MG, Jehad is struggle, and the tribe has a right to wage Jihad against opression, even if its on a mini scale. This is not an all out Jehad all over the world, and really whether this is really Jehad or their revenge for blood spilled it doest matter (just how you term it). after 911 if the US can go flaten Afghanizstan and Iraq, this is pretty much the same pretext.

Thanks Kulla, though I do object to the final part of your second sentence. North Waziristan and US actions against Afhanistan and Iraq have nothing whatsoever in common. If it has not dawned on everyone by now that West attacks on the Muslim countries are illegal in every way, as much in the eyes of international law as in the eyes of religion, not much more can be done by way of making them see the reality of the situation.

@MG true, but i am speaking at facevalue that if the US can flaten afghanistan and iraq because of 911, from a non emotional/religious perspective, the tribal elders have a right to the blood revenge of americans as well.

whether thats right or wrong is another thing

Thanks, Friends, though I do hope everyone realises this call for Jihad on the part of North Waziristan can have far-reaching consequences, some of which may not at all be to our liking.

We cannot have the nero fiddles while rome burns attitude if we are calling ourselves "Muslims". You cannot be like ostrich with head in the sand when you know very well that a brotherly country was invaded and occupied based on false pretext.

You talk about shariah and there are several authentic Hadiths that make Jihad obligatory in such an event but we were fiddling for too long like eunuchs. It is about time for ghairatmands to first repent and rise up instantly and say enough is enough.

Pakistan's tribal leaders have vowed to avenge a U.S. drone attack that killed more than 40 people in the country's remote tribal region.

A statement issued on Friday by elders of the country's troubled northwest region of North Waziristan said, "We are a people who wait 100 years to exact revenge. We never forgive our enemy."

NATO Heli Strikes lead to security forces(FC) personnel's death,otherwise both drones and NATO strikes equally comprise and transgress our sovereignty . Had only 'militant' died in hot pursuit all this hue and cry wouldn't have been made..

This is not the first time,in past too West have been regularly killing our troops inside pakistani territory.

Just these elders must walk to GHQ and sit on its gates where this General of our ---Kayani sits in his office.

Take ration for a day or two; camp there and do not get up till this----bloody disgust is resolved.

Pakistan Air Force on high Alert!
After US drone attack in North Waziristan on Thursday which killed 44 Pakistani civilians, Pakistan Air Force is put on high alert and the security of Pakistan Airspace is tightened.

Pakistan Air Force sources told that holidays of Air Force staff are canceled and all air relevant and their associated terminals of all officers and staff also canceled weekends and Air Force headquarters in Islamabad and several important offices, including staff during the weekends Saturday and Sunday have been directed to ensure attendance.
