I had earlier expressed the opinion that for hygiene reasons, indians should not be allowed on this forum. On top of disease risk, the stench is intolerable.

But I guess our moderators want to carry on the work of Mother Theresa.

I know but he forgot in his state of drunkenness that Free FOR ALL is now no more allowed.

A lot of exmembers will vouch for that.

    So he can be nuked.

Mirza Sahib wanted us to be patient and we are.

    Talal,

So far I haven't come across any text from Sharia that forces or encourages Muslims to only marry within cousins.

Villages, tribes or cities don't marry cousins to gain reward from Allah swt, they rather do it because of traditions. They do it due to social obligation also emanating from culture to help your brother or sister.

I read a hadith that encourages Muslims to marry outside family for healthier offsprings.

So try to realize the problem, not jump to illogical conclusion.

    Talal,

Not sure what you mean, but of course those countries that you referred above provide facilities, services, rules and regulation to encourage pork/alcohol industry, do you deny?

    @ Dear Administrator,
The game of banning is not a health practice at a discussion and opinion forum.
I am not fully aware about the policy at the You Tube or Face Book type of websites.
I guess these sites are popular due to a very accommodating and mild approach, with only some moral restrictions.
Only objectionable parts of a posting should be deleted.
A member who, after three warnings, violates and disregards the Code Of Conduct could be pushed out of the discussion.
Did you notice the frequency of filthy, dirty and non-parliamentary language being used by some of very respectable and favorite members?

    All posts that are:

Not according to the thread topic, provocative, insulting-containing personal remarks, threatening, anti Pakistan, anti Muslim (includes ridiculing Islamic Jurisprudence from any school of thought) is liable to edit/delete.

Forum members are requested to open a maximum of two threads each, daily. Excess will be moderated. This is being done as an improvement towards the quality of discussion. At the moment Religious Threads are not allowed till further notification from administration.

All articles/cut and paste posts, if not of your own and not backed up with a link as a reference to the source will be considered plagiarism and therefore deleted immediately.

Members are requested to cooperate and work towards general improvement of the standard of discussion by following the code of conduct laid for this very purpose.

Generally, Administration pkpolitics discuss forum is not in favor of a ban on a forum member but repeated misdemeanor by not following the code of conduct will definitely result in a temporary/permanent ban

When there are so many who differ with you and as it is becoming more and more obvious you are not welcome here than why don't you find some other forum for your self where you have the least opposition to your views or no opposition at at.

    Posted 2 years ago on 15 Aug 2009 14:45 #
  22. People who marry a first cousin, are more likely than the general population to produce children with genetic disorders, and that one in ten children of cousin marriages either dies in infancy or develops a serious disability.

This is TRUE and there is no point of discussing or criticiszing this statement. Marrying a cousin is not an obligation in Islam but it's not against its teaching either!!! So Quit this useless point to discuss or crticize!

    izbaek,

    You said:

what is wrong in that comment

That is the point, everything coming from you has wrong in it. You love to find wrong and post wrong and then enjoy people reacting to it.

Can't you find something right and share that with people? Your consistency in finding wrong leads us to suspect your intentions.

i do sympathize with izbaek but this policy of banning is almost as if saying we cannot take any criticism or to put it differently we are defenseless.

first cousin marriages in southern part of india amongst hindus are common as well..
i never read the post referred but my 2 cents on what i could make out..a healthy debate allows alternate views in constructive manner...which is scarce in the topics i have gone through so far..thanks for sharing your views...

    Posted 2 years ago on 17 Aug 2009 10:42 #
  30. @JJ Khan,
it was not suitable for a public forum.
whoever enjoys that kind of videos .
can easily see it at his own choice at his own PC or lap top.
    nothing was discussion worthy .

    Fair enough, no problem.

It was just a response to izaebk's multiple posts on cousin marriage. He posted so much rubbish, so I thought I give him some info on India too.

Anyway now that he has been banned, this video is irrelevant.

But video is totally decent and fit for public as it is made by a CNN's female professional reporter for public.

They tell why this culture is famous in those villages, reason is to protect land from dividing further.... you should have watched it first then passed judgement on suitability.
