Octopus and decisions of west

    we ,eastern and third world people has been called illiterate , supersitious , crazy and non practical .

    now what west is doing ?

    they have proved themselves biggest crazy ,by making an actopus a decision maker and predictor of an international event .......

    three cheers for the double standrad ,crazy ,confused west !

    i will hope now decision making abilities of octopus will be used to decide foreign policies of USA ,UK and Third world ....

    for making a foreign policy to dispatch Pakistan , i think ,dont even Octopus is needed , an owal can do a better job in this regard .

    gamblers were very interested in octopus because it gave predictions that all came out 100% true... gambling..

    yeah if this octopus thingy were introduced by asians or lets say by ppl of third world countries then definately we would have been labeled as illiterate nd insane but our bad luck that we ppl from this part of world dont find it important to highlight this ignorance of west in our media!

    another ridiculous post.. the Octopus was merely an entertaining gimmick which not just the West, but the entire world fell in love with due to its brilliant "tukkas". So many people tried to copy the gimmick in the form of parrots, penguins and pandas.. but Paul the Octopus turned out to be the most entertaining! Entertaining - thats it - nothing more nothing less.

    i didnt read the authors name, i just read the post and had a great laugh... just because a few ppl placed bets on the octopus's predictions doesnt mean the entire west became a superstitious pothole.

    More importantly, was it oNLy the west giving Paul the Octopus media coverage? How about Tokyo? Pakistan? The Middle East? Africa? Australia? :) We love stereotyping dont we :D

    anyways ;
    aslong as coverage is concerned .
    its no logic ...when one thing was given so much of importance than international media has to cover it .

    as media covers religious activities of different Muslim ,Hindu and Sikh events ,it doesnt make media to believe in it .

    if CNN is giving a news coverage to Hajj that does not make CNN Muslim ???

    same goes to Octopus coverage to eatern countries .
    it was happening .
    and they cover Football world cup as an international event along with Octopus thing they were busy doing .

    come on sasherwani...this was just a small matter that the member brought out to show how ppl not just in east but also in west are supertitious...so many ppl actually believed in it...wasn't just for entertainment...

    we see western media rediculing our beard and burqa and other practises often but hardly anyone from our muslim community speak against it but we are too quick to criticise if anyone of us just think of pinpointing any practise of theirs...

    we should not get too impressed by west .
    then if they are doing wrong ,we still support them by considering them right all the time.
