Pakistan Memo League's dual standards

    Pakistan Memo League (PML-N) always talks about strengthening of civilian government. Mian Nawaz Shareef's has reiterated his resolve a number of times.
    These days he is pursuing a 'memo' supposedly written by the government of Pakistan for America's help, because the government felt threatened by the Army.
    In this case Mian Nawaz Shareef chooses to take Army's side against the civilian elected government. Today, as Prime Minister of the Pakistan says that Military should have taken his consent before replying to the court; Nawaz Shareef differs from his resolve. Talking to Geo TV's Kamran Khan, Nawaz accepts that Army Chief should be answerable to the premiere, but contradicting his own statement, Nawaz says that particularly in memo case, surpassing an 'elected' boss is OKAY.
    Any reasons for the dual standards PML-N?

    Supporting democracy should not mean a democratic Govt is free to sell out national interests. I think PMLN is doing the right thing to make the Govt accountable for its misdeeds.

    PM's argument about Army bosses to get approval of their statements is lame. This is an inquiry and facts should be presented, however bitter they might be. He seems to be seeking cover-up in the name of approval. Objection can be raised only if they make a statement which is not factual, and they are free to rebut them in front of commission if they have any grounds.

    Nawaz Shareef did very well . At least some truth will come out
    Because Memogate was a conspiracy against Pakistan but no bloody civilian has courage to do this.
    Either it is a foreign conspiracy or ...................

    Oh wow, the duffer PM MBBS just found out that he is elected the head of the government and the COAS and DG ISI's statements ought to submitted in court with his approval!! Can someone ask this **** on what business did Kiyani have to be the negotiator and interlocutor on NRO...why no action was taken when the military high command took serious exception to Kerry-Lugar bill...on whose order was the Swat military operation launched
