    Why do we have Shazad again in the team? Don't we have another batsman to replace him. I think he has a parchi to play all the games. He is talented but needs more time in domestic cricket to improve his skills. Team is balanced but Ajmal should play all matches and he should replace Shazad.

    @ST

    The only batsman on bench is Asad Shafique who is a middle order batsman. If they bring him in Younus and Misbah will be exposed to new ball OR instead of Afridi and Razzaq Afridi and Asad will be left for slog overs. So I think sticking to winning combination is best of the not so goo options.

    Very imp wkt McMullum was a danger man. Now it 'd be very difficult for NZ to score 250 even on flat track.

    Yes this is good wicket for Pakistan

    Shoaib Akhtar to BB McCullum, OUT, the aeroplane takes off early at Pallekele, Shoaib goes through Brendon with a peach that pitches way outside off, he goes out to push at it, but to his horror it comes back a long way, and hits off stump, kept a bit low, and there was a mile-long gap between bat and pad

    Shoaib Akhtar to Guptill, no run, How did that miss off stump? how on earth? it was an early decision to leave, it pitched on a length outside off stump, and came back in a long way, but missed out on grazing the off stump by a whisker

    Wow Umar Gul, 92mph and he looks like he is raring to go. Unfortunately Kakmal has drained the energy out of this team. They are on the path to self-destruction right now. I WANT this cheat KAkmal out of this team.

    Out of 31 overs reamining 9 will be bowled by Razzaq/Hafeez combo. Shohaib has already bowled 8 overs, who will be bowling final overs with Gul?

    We have too many overs dedicated to containment: Razaq/Hafeez, Rehman bowl 20 overs. Pakistan must play another bowler, if only Waqar/Intikhab/Afridi would LISTEN!

    @msohail83

    Rehman is specialist bowler, he can be replaced by Ajmal if needed. Batting is our weakness not bowling. I don't think we should drop a batsman to strengthen bowling. The reason we didn't get wickets today was because of dropped catches not lack of bite.

    Afridi messed up bowling rotation. He should have Shohaib and Omer Gul from here on.

    I guess he's not really a specialist when he can't pick up wickets ...

    NZ gonna put a challenging total on board. It should be an interesting chase for Pakistan.

    Shirazi,

    He didn't mess it up. It goes back to the same point that those specialist bowlers weren't picking up wickets during the middle overs, so he was being positive in bringing back Shoaib and Gul to get them breakthroughs. It just proves again that we're short a bolwer.

    Pakistan has made the match too difficult. NZ should have been shot out for 150-175 runs, and now they are well on course to get around 280+
