When I see any of the shows on Pakistani Private TV Channels, I start to wonder if Pakistan is the world's only superpower or the worlds most delusional society.
Anchors scoff and mock the US visitors and come across as very contemptuous with no basic decency or professionalism in interviewing their guests. These prorgams invite the guests like **** Imran khan over and over again who spill the same non sense that they may have expressed just a day before. Is this an attempt to brainwash the gullible minds in the country or what?
I hate to burst this bubble, but Pakistan is not considered the most important country in the world because of its sophistication, but it is being paid attention to by the developed world so that it does not disintegrate into a total mess. If US had wanted to destroy Pakistan or break it into pieces, it did not need to do anything but to totally cut off all the aid. If west was wanting to destroy pakistan it could have also eliminated the whole region from the face of the earth by simply using its firepower. Its about time to wake up and stop pretending that Pakistan is some gift of god to the world, its really a mess and people need to start focussing on finding the truth. Media can play its role by focussing on how to improve the society than to invite morons like Imran khan every day to spread lies and non sense. If this media does not wake up and replace the current ignoramus anchors/regular guests with people grounded in reality then it may be contributing to its self demise.
I would request people of pakistan to start reading columns of Irfan Husein on dawn.com or Farhat Taj on Waziristan, than to blindly believe the ignorant characters like Imran Khan. Here are some links to see another side that may be the side of light:
